Guide : How to report a player

Recently we have noticed that quite a few people are giving up hope on reporting players. That is why I want to put new life into this, by making a thread on how you can report these users. There currently are 3 ways to do this, which I will list below. However first, a quick tutorial on how you can actually report a player.

What do I need to report an user?
- A screenshot of video so we can see some evidence and know the users name
- A date and optionally a time, so the EME team knows when to check them
- If a video is submitted, note down the times in the video where the reported behaviour is visible

Keep in mind, EME checks a player throughout to ensure a false ban is out of the question.

1. Sending a ticket to report the player
You can send in a ticket via the following link : http://support.enmasse.com/ava/tickets/submit

2. Reporting a player on the Facebook Groups:
Us Operatives check this quite regulary. You can report them in one of the following groups :
- https://www.facebook.com/groups/179013925576538/

Keep in mind that these groups are not solely for hack reporting. You can always chat with the members there and show some of your videos and screenshots too ;)

3. Reporting a player directly to an Operative:
Reporting to an Operative can be done in various ways. For example, you can PM us the info on the EME AVA Discord : https://discord.gg/xgznSe3

The easiest way though is to send a message on the forums :
SilentSage : https://forums.enmasse.com/ava/profile/SilentSage
MythSky : https://forums.enmasse.com/ava/profile/MythSky
Miz : https://forums.enmasse.com/ava/profile/The2009RKO
GrimPhase : https://forums.enmasse.com/ava/profile/Grimphase
Hexenbrett/Erkel : https://forums.enmasse.com/ava/profile/Hexenbrett

There are more Operatives of course, but their focus is primarily on tasks other than hack reporting.

That's all. If you have any questions or suggestions, leave them below!

  • @MythSky , while I like you efforts, there is still no incentive for people to report hackers. By incentive, it can simply be the confirmation of the report was successful, that the target was actually banned. Something, anything really to show progress, I personally don't give a damn about rewards for the reports, I only wish if I do make a report, spending time collecting evidence, sending it, I do not get a mere copy pasted "Thank you for the ticket".
  • EME is able to watch it back, even with a screenshot?

I am not sure if they are allowed to do it, but the decision is to not publish this as it goes about personal info. The community is rather small so the chances of player X getting roasted etc. is fairly high, especially with the toxic behaviour the community tends to have. The pro's and cons can be debatable, but yeah I think it is fine as it is for now.
  • I haven't experienced any hackers in my few days here, but it's good to know that attention is being paid.

I personally don't see a problem with something like a Wall of Shame: a sub-forum in which banned hackers are listed. If someone got banned for being a POS, what does it matter if we call them a POS?
  • @DatRollD20 ,
If you are new here, for your information, hackers have become a feature of this game. Especially under Aeria, the publisher before En Masse.
    @MythSky ,
You don't seem to get my point, if one has no incentive in reporting a possible hacker, why the **** would he do it?

@MythSky I appreciate the effort. But sending tickets to report hacker ? LOL common, u guys know how long this takes to get a reply. Please realize the reason behind raising tickets. Hacks, abusive language, racial abuse .. many factors behind raising ticket, taking weeks to get a reply or appropriate action is unacceptable.
  • Haven't seen a hacker all week in NA

I am just listing all the options there are. If you feel that tickets is not the best thing, you can always report it to one of the Operatives.
  • @MythSky , this is correct, this is a reminder of all the possible options. But we are telling you that all these options are very time consuming and the report process in all its forms is very very unrewarding, shall I say, off putting. If I see a blatant hacker, I would like to report ofc, I would like to record a video, but considering that later on, I ll have to either upload to youtube, or share it with an OP via Drive or any plateform, meaning more upload time, this is just killing me, I end up not doing it.

If they would bring any use to the "Report-function" or make it impossible to bypass it... Does CS:GO have a good reporting function? I dont play cs since 1.6b...I just heard rumors and that ppl get infos if the reported person was banned.... and if someone cheats just ban the account and mark the other accounts, his IP is connected to, that he was cheating...so every1 knows it and keep an eye on him...and if he is clean for 6 monts he loses this status...or give rewards, for sending in evidence which clearly gets a cheater....

Even in the garena-forum was a thread with the macro-users listed... I see so many duckies, greenies running around atm spraying me down with the para with 2-3 Shots no matter what...running, jumping...well I since the merge I have to play with dropping fps from 130 to 40 during firefights, so I may be wrong here... but its kinda weird that I see so many para-user lately...maybe I just have the wrong mods or I missed a certain point where the Para got top-tier again...and well there are a lot of macro users.... I know 4 competetive players who say: everyone is using it... some only uses this for QS, some for the main gun, some for panic-pistol-mode and some ppl use it all the way.... I know its a lot QQ...but Im tired of it...listening to people talking about their macros and how they defend it: "chill its default by now, otherwise you cant keep up, because everyone in the competetive scene is using it"

and for christsake....fix the performance or ask redduck to do so... I mean the game is 9 years old? My PC is from 2011 and was doing fine back then on ultra-low-details with 200 fps and more (when you could turn off the fps-cap with v-sync) and now 6 years later I dont get even stable 150 fps...

    QQ off.
  • Can a operative ban a person for his wrong doings? if he is proven to be a culprit. If not what is the meaning of bring up to them?. Please explain. Please do not take this as a argument
