Yeah i was hopefull that the merge had a possitve effect, but as you mention it made things worse. When they removed the stamina they said they would keep and eye in the effect it had and such, and i personallly believe it was a huge mistake and that it needs to be reverted, but even doing so maybe it is too late to do so, the market was mercilessly obliterated.

All i can think of is that they add gatcha for credits (with a weekly limit of course) to increase supply of items and serve as a creddit sink, that with the gacha update may had a positive effect.

title. Likea month ago Korea had an event for the awaken tiamat pet and get it for free. But our version that has much more cash grabs and +13 boosters only in cash shop deals, has to pay an additional 150 dollars for a pet? you kidding me, you have to be kidding. Why is everything locked behind a paywall in this game? Why can't we have Cool Stuff A for free and Cool Stuff B for payment. Why everything gotta be classified as Cool Stuff B in this game. you mock us for playing the game

I guess the merge is just an excuse for dealing the final blow on EU's already dead population. And they did a good job by being unable to fix most issues that happened after merge. The compensation they gave is not even enough for the lost puri progress of EU players. Only NA players gain something on this merge.

What with the fuss about loot boxes, I'm wondering how long gacha systems will still be allowed at all. Given how black-boxed the current one in Closers is, it'd be one of the first to go.

Far as content pacing goes though, there would not nearly be as many complaints about it if there was no info coming in from the Korean version of the game, which had a 3 year headstart. EME's Closers is actually very quick to catch up with its Korean variant, it took multiple years for Elsword to synch their updates. Compare it to any Western-developed MMO and see how long it takes for new content to roll in.

I think aside from the super obvious cases, for those of us with long-ish duration maid/fairy premiums, most don't even know if they have been extended or not due to not keeping track of remaining duration
