Why does enabling HDR make everything look all watery?
I feel like I'm in Korean Bikini Bottom. Is it supposed to do this?
Re: Why does enabling HDR make everything look all watery?
HDR is used to give a better luminance range, it is supposed to give more realistic blacks and whites. I never was able to make it work, I either got no change at all or over saturation in places with too much light. However in my case I am using some really old 32 inch FHD tv as monitor, so even if this thing was high end at the time, it is most likely not compatible with HDR or at least with the hdr norm that closers use.
In your case it could either be your monitor not supporting it or some bad configuration. It could even be naddic being naddic and using an incompatible norm since there is more than one from what I understand. Also there has been other people reporting problems with hdr, but I don't think anyone was capable to help at the time.
Not sure what graphic card you have, but I don't think the problem is there since a lot of old cards support it from both Nvidia and AMD. Even some ps4 and XboxOne games support it, So it is more a tv/monitor thing than a graphic card problem.
Re: New to the game.
It's worth trying imo.
I returned to the game fairly recently so I'm not as jaded as some people but I find plenty to enjoy here. The gameplay is fast and smooth, the classes seem to have high ceilings so you can always feel a payoff from self improvement, and the content seems to be challenging enough up until you heavily overgear it - but even then there's something to be said for clean runs and mechanical accuracy. The overall design is flashy and polished. and there's enough depth in the combat to keep me entertained. The market seems to be stable and bots appear to be non-existent thanks to various imposed limitations within the economy. The fashion and wardrobe systems are great if you're into that.
I'd say those are the main reasons why the game has kept my interest thus far. If you don't care about those things, ymmv.
As for the pop - the population in all niche KMMO's is low but it's mostly a non-issue because these games are designed to run on low pops. Either way, I play with a small group of friends so I've never experienced any negative impact stemming from a lack of players. I imagine if you come to the game with friends, you'll have no issues whatsoever on this front.
Coming from Kritika, which is a mind-numbing power fantasy, this game is a breath of fresh air. And tbh if you have people coming from BDO you should have zero problem with the cash shop here.
I'll also say that EME gets a lot of shit from people and I'll admit that they've made some questionable decisions throughout their history in various games, but I've had nothing but positive experiences with their customer service - they're hella nice, respond quickly, and will usually go out of their way to help you as long as your problem is within their power to address.
Give the game a shot - nothing to lose really. Worst case, you don't like it and move on.
Re: New to the game.
The population is ok, because its a niche game, and this kind of niche game is hard to get massive numbers past 2015.
Its a GREAT game. Unique gameplay, combos and storyline. I strong recomend, much better than SoulWorker in every aspect.
If you have friends, you will literaly not care about population at all.
Re: Stigma mat...
You'll get it from converting 20 Holy Grail parts into any of the Trigger boxes (Command is BiS.)
Box will randomly give you one of the Triggers in that line, along with a Stigma material. So basically, unless you get lucky enough to get all three of the Triggers you want from Investigation, you're looking at collecting 60 Holy Grail parts to get enough Stigmas to directly craft the Trigger that you are missing. Or worst case, 180 Holy Grails if you never see a single Command Trigger drop from the Investigation Reward box and the Trigger box keeps giving you repeats instead of the ones you are missing.
Re: New to the game.
Game is worth trying... buit I'm not sure if it will be game that you are looking for. And yes, it gives advantages to paying players but it's minor compared to Black Desert
.
Still this one is in almost every aspect better than Soul Worker and Kritika.
Kurtzpel is only good if your sole focus is pvp (but it's actually decent).

Looking at this thread makes me wonder how many stones would you need to go from cosmic to infinite with no accelerants at all?
Spent 100+ stones all in all, from T0-T5 on one mod. After reaching T5, I spent 10 minutes in silence to ponder how the universe works.
Re: 100% Transcendence Stone
They'll exist in the future.
It costs elixirs to make them or an alternate craft that requires multiple stones. (Takes about 3 weeks to craft 1 stone)
EDIT: Personally I rushed my main so that I could help carry my alts more. For my alts I'm just crafting 3 stones a day (3 boss runs a day, 5 on days with investigation raid) and just yoloing them, if it succeeds then yay.
Re: Overflow/BB Raid Times and North America...
This.
For SEA Players the BB Raid schedule were started on 12am to 10am on Wed/Fri/Sun/Monday (GMT+8)
While I can only be doing the raid on Sunday since the rest were working days, our trigger progress will be slowed down and probably will take a long time just to get a 3/3, despite of crafting it or drop by RNG.
