September 2017 Development Roadmap

One of our original goals with Kritika Online was to do our best to provide transparency to you, the community, about upcoming updates. This is our first big step towards that goal, with the introduction of the Development Roadmap. This is a brief outline of content that's currently planned for the September update.

  • Start of the Xanadu side story, includes 4 new Danger Zones of varying difficulty
  • Steam is coming! Kritika will be available on Steam sometime in late-September, early-October
  • Removal of GameGuard – replaced with Xigncode

hopefully less patching issues then for EU users with steam client! :D

why just 4 dungeons when there are 12 total? Is it to streamline the progression and have the drops in other dungeons added in random dungeon mode or is it's just excessive padding and have the remaining dungeons released later?

steam release would bring in a lot of new players for sure

We are looking at this as our 'leave open beta' update. We need to see how the August update goes, but that is the current plan.

And yes we won't always release all danger zones at once. Once August is out we will get more specific with September, and start to fill in more October and November details.

The Random Dungeon feature will be moving to September, we also plan on having a public test server for this version as well. More details to come on it!

I would at this point wait to release on steam, push it back to October at the very least. You guys have had no problems pushing pretty much everything else back so far, but at this point I don't see a steam release benefiting this game at all as it is right now. It's nice that you guys are trying to get Random Dungeons good enough to release without having taking it away from us once we've got a taste, but i'm still a little disappointed about it.

Here are a few early details from ALLM in response to some questions I've been seeing:

    Random Dungeon

    • Users have access once they've reached level 15 and chosen a sub-class.
    • You earn Gamble Coins (placeholder name) by participating in the Random Dungeon. Say you're looking for a piece of equipment in the helmet slot. You can use Gamble Coins to specifically get a random helmet piece from all gear available in the game (including Starhenge Gear).
    • RP isn't expended when playing. There's a material cost to get in, but nothing related to the Stamina gauge.

@Smoreceror interesting... is the rarity varied ? or legendary quality only? Thanks

Does this mean that ability points* (placeholder name) are not, in fact related to the Random Dungeon feature then? In which case, how will we be able to obtain them?

Does this mean that I have a huge chance to get a level 1 white and a minuscule chance at a SH piece?

Will this weeks stream show random dungeon and new zones?

  • MorrigainMorrigain Member ✭✭

And some new information about the ability point system while your at it! Maybe with some concrete examples. That'll be swell.

  • Just want to know how hard will be those 4 new dungeons? Are those dungeons designed for high end cr like shattered table?
