Subscription pay

I do think the best way for Tera to survive is to have subscription pay and no microtransaction, but direct payment. The idea of "free to play" doesn't exist and if it do, companies suffer a lot by doing so.

That's how MMO dies. Without micro-transaction, they can't even generate money.
How much do you think they makes money from last Black Friday?
  • I like subscription games as a model, and that's how TERA was originally, although that didn't work out for them. But I should also say that, these days, even subscription games have some microtransactions, as no company wants to leave money on the table. At this point, changing all the TERA game systems to not be oriented around F2P monetization would not be an easy endeavor. (I think it would be a *good* endeavor, and would make the game much better as far as game systems go, but...)
  • The could at least have some % of items direct payment.
  • Susbscription is what killed Tera in the first place, is what killed ESO and many more;.....and guess what?, both ended up withdrawing with that "model" of bussines.
Bring subscription to Tera again in this pathetic state of the game would be the killing blow

Buy to play and subscription based games use similar cash shop models that free to play games use (just designed differently), only difference there becomes the fact you're paying to use your account. Free to play ends up being more successful because it removes that barrier to enter the game (paying) and allows anyone to play with friends of multiple different financial backgrounds as well. Some people who can afford to play certain games don't because their friends don't for example; and free users tend to draw in more players through reviews or by just existing as it's added population.
