Worth it to return to the game?

As title says ^^

Is it worth it to return to this game? Quit over a year ago and have almost no cash or anything to +15...

Do you get parties without +15 or do you get parties at all as a dps or is the game/servers dead?

If it is worth returning could someone tell me how to get back into it what dungeons to try and run / how to solo make money to +15 / if I should do quests or anything of the sort?

Thanks much aprreciated

What will make a game worth for You to play in the first place?
  • Is not worth, just stay away...

I would suggest downloading it and see for yourself. Comments like this:

Really do not help you on making a decision (and this guy still plays -_-) What this comment does, is drive away potential new players and/or returning players like yourself, which is the exact opposite of what we need right now as a community: more players, cause without players, there is no game.
  • Re-install, get Guile set, easy enchant. Accepted in most parties except high-tier, unless healer.
  • I just failed enchanting a level 62 weapon to +9 15 times in a row if that helps you decide. -_-

Only? Pfft, wait 'til you get to level 65 ;)

I am really confused how this could help decide in any way. Your lvl 62 weapon has pretty much same chance as your lvl 20 weapon, you simply had very bad luck.

On the topic... You really don't need to +15 anything, I personally will probably never +15 anything unless they change the way you obtain them/materials in some way. If you liked the content that had nothing to do with +15 equipment in older patches then you shouldn't mind the state the game is in right now. Depending on the reasons you quit to begin with, you should at least still find the game a fun use of your time.

That's...kind of my point. A low level non masterwork and it still failed 15 times in a row, so if the OP burned out on the RNG then no it isn't worth coming back because it's exactly the same.
  • Honestly, it isn't. Better titles coming out.

they only ask +15 for hh ;)

I have 4 characters lvl 65 all with full +12 guile and the only thing I can't/won't run is HH. Rmhm can be a pain if the heals suck since the new pots suck more than the old ones did. HH should only be ran in imperator or better.

As far as returning to the game, that's up to you if you enjoy it. I know many that just play casually and gave upon the end game gear chase until BH pulls there cranial cavity from there [filtered] cavity and quits giving us more unneeded gear and instead give us new content that needs the gear. I can solo the lvl 70bams on IoD in slaughter gear so I know anything over that is not needed in the game except for a few end game instances.

Also if you like pvp well go to a pvp server because CU is feces and cs/fwc ques take forever on TR

Provided the standard definition of PvP in TERA is "Gear up to kill / harass lowbies", and even on PvP servers like MT, theres the win trade in CU and "certain" guilds whom you already know about who would use multiple alt guilds for easy wins. Seems that to kill an afk guild during CU in MT is also considered as PvP.
  • How's CS and FWC ques take so long? It's cross server thing it doesn't depend on server you are.

It's worth it if you put time into it, +12s are accepted, at least I see that, in even the hardest dungeons (not including HH unless you are an archer) and definitely accepted everywhere else. The "+15 Skilled DPS/TANK" lfgs are like close to nonexistent now, I just see "RMH T/D" or "RMH T/D Skilled" and if you aren't skilled then I do see training runs from time to time. there is always joining a guild which would help even more depending on the skill you want to play and and the skill of the people you join. (Biased to TR because that's the only server I play but I imagine the same with MT)

The population is obviously not as big as it was a year ago, but it's not hard to get around and get what you want done if as I said you put the work in (as in don't be one of the people who are like "no one is accepting me in dungeons!!" And come to cry about it on the forums without even attempting to make your own party. Even on my Alts in slaughter or even idoneal I can make lfgs without people knowing it's just an Alt and that actually get applications)

So if you do like the game, then definitely come back!

Now if you decided on coming back, I would assume you would want to start from the beginning and gear into Slaughter, I believe per new gear patch the gearing quest in north highwatch (red quest that starts off completed) resets so you can start there and it will walk you through the dungeons to get slaughter and once you complete it you will end up with full slaughter, belt, innerwear token, and even a box of enchanting materials. If you want a free flying mount then there is a story quest for the basic one in trading post. Then, run LKNM/SSNM for your mid tier guile. I can't really remember where the jewels drop but I'm sure you can look it up in the instance matching tab.

Now since I'm not a solo player I can't really give advice on how to fully make money for +15 by going solo, but some general ways on making money without a party is island of dawn bams, doing at least all three mid tier and maybe even high tier per day (make money and/or mats with the tokens) and running your Ace Dungeons daily (tokens can buy tier 2 etchings which can translate to 20k every one or two weeks I can't remember, but since it takes so little time per day I highly recommend Alts, as many as you want) but other than that it's simply playing broker and dungeons.

Oh and if you play or consider playing on Tempest Reach you can friend me on Pinopy in game or inbox me on forums and I wouldn't mind helping you out! :3

Oh and essentialmana is a must-have website if you aren't already familiar with it, tons of guides
