Most MMO's are pricks about inventory and sell extra slots at outrageous prices, TERA is currently very nice about it.
The worst example I've seen is BDO, but there is probably worse.

Currently the pricing doesn't make sense, but it will make sense if EME/BHS remove or reduce your ability to get inventory for free in game.
  • I don't even know why the inventory expansion is in the tera store to begin with. Unless you are able to just keep adding slot row after slot row. Like What is the minimum about of slots a char can have? Can it go beyond what we already have from achievements and quest to begin with? Or is this just another way to get people to use emp instead of doing quest and acheivements to have that space? If so its stupid as hell. I can understand it being in the store IF it brings you beyond the already present maximum before it even was put in the store.

120 slots are the maximum right now.

    104 are free.
  • Yeah it makes no sense to have it in the tera store at all. Now if it was to allow us to double our inventory space per char that would be worth it but only on that aspect if it worked the way bank expansions worked.

    Then don't buy it.

For the ppl who see it as worth they are going to buy it anyways, but if it is not worth for anyone of you don't makes sense all this drama for something insignificant as this.

Aren't you the critical person against someones opinions. Are you always like this? Every post I read from you is nothing but putting down someone elses opinions. To make matters worse you put yourself out there as if "you are more intelligent then the next person." You have made no positive point at all other than the obvious fact "that people will buy it if it is worth it to them". Sheesh. Naturally people will buy it. Especially when they have played the game already, and don't want to do any questing for anything else other than dungeoning for the next gear set to pvp in. Besides, it is probably going to be one of those things in which you can't quest for and have to buy into anyway. Just like the bank expansion. :-1:

No I'm not trying to be rude but please if you are going to make some sort of comment atleast put more of a conversation piece to it or don't even bother being rude to people with yours. sheesh. :anguished:

Exactly, that's what I would do. That's what I do anyway. lol

495 EMP?! Ha, no thank you. I don't care for 8 more slots in my bag. What a waste of money on some pixels.

What happens when your pet is full? You're also not answering the question of, if you don't need it at the current price, why would you suddenly need it if they gave it out for a low price? If stacking pets are enough then there is no real concern here.

I'll answer that question for you. You seem to be under the impression that one either really needs an item or they don't need it at all. There is, however, a middle where you kind of need/want it but you can live without it. When you are in that middle, it comes down to cost versus benefit. In this specific case, the guy obviously doesn't think the cost is worth the benefit. However, if it were cheaper, it would be. It does make it subjective as both cost and benefit vary from person to person.
  • im still remember when CS gave a Jackpot with Daimond , and "Bank Expansion " are cheap ( 3 k -7k )
    im win 3 daimonds in CS , the fisrt thing im buy ( in lowbie ) was bank expansion ( 3 ) , im really miss those times ;_;

The only people who needs expansion are ones who making +15 gear and selling it. For casual player the expansion is useless. Get rid of gathering materials and you have more than on one bank slot empty. And there's 8 bank slots. I have two and the half full and I don't need more.
  • if they made all crafting worthwhile again, then the extra slots would be worth it for me and maybe to many more people. if they made it where you can have pages or 4-8 inventory tabs like bank tabs, and then sold inventory tabs, they would make so much money even without making crafting worthwhile again.
I cant justify buying the 8 extra slots at the moment for myself, but that's not to say others wouldn't need them. I like that they give us the chance to get the extra slots. I wish people would quit bashing others cause their opinion differs from other's. people should respect others and at least be civil to each other.

Agreed, really don't see the point in this new inventory expansion, especially at that price.

A bank expansion is like 9 times more cost effective anyways, and once you have this

it's practically as convenient as a straight up inventory expansion.

A character slot's even more cost effective - up to 104 slots each. Sure you sacrifice convenience by having the item stowed away on the alt, it's good for items that you don't use, but want to keep as memento or something. Also expands your daily earnings potential.

That's not the answer, the answer is a mixture of being cheap, and hypocritical. Pets are just as over priced, along with a plethora of other things Westerners buy, but a convenience tax is only "bad" when applied to games. You can also just buy it with gold, considering there's little to spend gold on.
