  • ninjas are mindless, but yes, stop trap I M pliss
  • @RimbaldiOfTera biased or not, it still holds true. I've had dps doing 100k/s in ssnm and i had dps that killed the boss in record time. I'm not saying everyone is bad, just don't expect everyone to know what they're doing and then post threads on forums when it happens.

Now that's a fair point. Which is why I said from the original post. Advice in the heading. And again like NPCPak pointed out as an advice to me; "make a guide or refer to one". So that's what I will be doing.

Please remember that ninjas only have cloth armor. Therefore, if we are at the back and know we're gonna take a hit, we will most likely dart away from the back and go wherever we can get our slow, little behinds. It's either that or getting yelled at, because we took a hit and needed healing. It's nice to tell us to hit from the side, but any ninja that does dungeons has a setup for behind attacks as there aren't many crystals that help us out if we attack on the side. So, you're basically telling us to lose crit and only do side attacks.

We do have some skills that throw us around and should not be done in dungeons or only after certain skills. If the ninja you are playing with is darting around for no reason, tell them they need to do a dungeon setup. Any good ninja should have at least 3 different skill, crystal and glyph setups. They should have one for dungeons, one for regular monsters, and one for minions. If they don't, they are really losing out on skill benefits.

Mmm yes. Logical. I can understand that. I supposed doing side attacks only is pointless as well. I mean a majority of bosses don't just sit still they always move regardless of agro. I've noticed this in hard mode videos especially.

This here is the most current Ninja PVE Guide on building your character.

Now it says using back crit crystals, crit on enraged, and two others.

I'm curious, wouldn't spitefull be useful for a ninja?

I mean they have to move around a lot apparently and would be able to just be stationed. So why not use spiteful instead?

Because that crystal's effect doesn't depend on how far you're from the boss, it only works on skill classified as "ranged attacks", like those of gunner, archer, sorc, etc. it's meant for ranged classes.

    Edited mistake wrong thread:

Interesting so they leave out the ninja's Ranged skills: leaves on the wind/ Bladestorm/ Burning hearts as ranged attacks. I mean you can generally do those from any angle. Perhaps they consider it melee and not ranged?

Interesting so they leave out the reapers chains as a ranged attack. Perhaps they consider it melee and not ranged?

Only makes effect on cable step and soul reversal, so for reapers you need to use bitter.

A great majority of reapers skills are melee so youd be killing your damage by using a spiteful crystal.

    Edit:

Info for players, cristals works on atacks/skills and not on character classes, meaning that the effect is activated by the atack or skill your classes make/cast.
