Struggling to stay connected

Getting constant disconnects. I have tried the game support and have been issued with the following advice

"Hello Mylittlepwny,

Thank you for contacting TERA customer support.

The problem can be caused by your ports.

The following ports must be open in your network so that there will be communication between our servers and your TERA Launcher:

TCP 7801 bis 7810
TCP 80
TCP 443
TCP 4566
"

This advice was based on the original request for advice below

"Received error message: Server disconnect

When does the problem occur?: Very frequently

Are you using a laptop or a desktop computer? Laptop

Problem description: Consistently being disconnected from server after massive lag spiking. Checked my router for packed loss (none). Ensured that my laptop meet requirements for game (exceeded). The disconnects happen inside and outside dungeon servers, the areas are not heavily populated.

Additional information (if necessary): Attached screenshot of system running the game. I have no problem running other games (MMO's rift / warcraft, FPS CS:GO / Call of duty, Real time strats Total war)"

Can any of the players please advise if they have come across this issue before and how they resolved it. I find it hard to believe that my laptop is the throttling factor here as it runs at full settings @ 70fps. I appears to be a latency issue / server communication issue.

Regards,

Mylittlepwny

I guess the first question, just to be sure, are you playing TERA NA or TERA EU? The message you received makes me think it may be TERA EU, but I'm not sure.

Second, I don't think it's a port issue. To understand where you're connecting from and the path you're taking to the server (assuming you're playing TERA NA), I would do a traceroute to diag.enmasse.com. The process is explained in the second half of this support note.
