it is korean mmorpg
wow is not a korean mmorpg, but a chinese robot mmorpg
These sorts of stereotypes are so silly. You could just as easily say that the only people who complain about this issue are insecure manchildren who can't relate to women and don't feel secure in their manhood unless their virtual avatar is implied to have male genitals. Or, conversely, that a True Man won't let a few pixels stand in their way of getting an edge, defeating their enemies, and triumphing in the game. As you can see, it's just asinine to stereotype people and it leads nowhere. It certainly is not an argument that is going to convince any decision-makers more than money does.
The most sensible course of action is a) keep making your voice heard about your preferences constructively (since few disagree that having more options is better than not), and b) to get over the need to imagine your virtual avatar as an extension of your own personhood, since it's not. Preferences are fine, but if you can imagine yourself as an a giant rock dude, a devil, a high elf, or an animal creature, women aren't so different.
The difference is that character is already set in stone. Lara is a well-established character and icon within gaming. In TERA, and many other decent mmorpgs, you play as your own character. You as your character are making your own choices. It's not about the female lead, its about giving the player a choice. Games with a character already set forth can get away with that because they are not mmorpgs. People play mmorpgs for the same reason those nerds down the block play DnD; because it provides that freedom. If I wanted to play as a sexy woman, I'd be playing Bayonetta. Therefore, your argument is null.
Arguement still Valid because Again this is not K-tera if you want to [filtered] and moan go there and whine. Also there are plenty of mmo's that are gender locked. As the npc's of the game say " If you don't like it, leave. "
Also those players, who play male characters, do not buy costumes so they can just suck it up. It is totally their fault but they always blame the developers.
You're not the only player, so no, it isn't enough.
Sure. I play exclusively Elin and i have spent 80k on costumes.
dunno if hard trolling or extreme consumerism problems.
Either way: do you want male classes?? Get a mob of people to raid the servers with TONS of hunky machos and spend tons of EMP on these machos. You'll see your answer then.
Let's see how many people will follow you and you guys will have your answer to the question of male characters.
TL;DR: Make males and give 'em enough money for these males. They'll invest on males. Business, no profit? No go.
