Who told you to play on NA with crap ping and ask other people to lower the standards for you?

If they can facetank, they can dps faster and finish the dungeons faster.

Don't blame others for being needy when you are a sub par healer.

Dead DPS don't make runs faster. In fact, it can turn a 20 minute dungeon run into several hours.

    Exactly.
How do dps who facetank / make love to lachelith's tail finish rmhm runs faster? How do dps who facetank at 2% hp regardless of where their healers are make runs faster? Obviously moping the floor with their own body over and over again cause their dmg go through the roof right? Facetanking has its time and place, no need to trash someone though and call them a sub par healer just because they suggest something else that the dps can do to improve runs.

That's not what anyone was talking about. It wasn't about 1shots or even seriously big hits. The truth, in this case, is somewhere in the middle. Yes, dps should be behind the boss and in a group(because, well, if you are facetanking for more sidedps, you are doing it wrong). However, healers should be prepared for it(even more so when dealing with slower reaction times due to ping and stuff), prelock and release instead of waiting for the hit then running around in panic trying to lock on everyone. And if a dps is being a special kind of stupid, sacrifice them and support the rest.

Whoever said to be proactive instead of reactive hit the nail on the head. Even at higher ping, a good healer can predict the needs of their party before anything even happens.

when i go for preemptive res's they always act so offended :(

They may blame healers but it will take them a while to type it up on a controller

    ................................ Oh wow.

Well played sir, very well played indeed.

The community is getting more lazy with double healers being the norm. Not just for last boss RMHM, but for personal DPS reasons.

Try-hards will only go with Lancer, Mystic, and Priest. Everything else is irrelevant these days.

It's no longer a dungeon where people works together, but more as trying to be that one special snowflake.

Then when the group finally gets a single healer just so they can finally run the dungeon, they face-tank so much at the point where a single healer cannot carry the damage. Those kinds of people have become so lazy on face-tanking every single hit because of double heal carries. Perhaps, they should try solo healing to get a taste of their own medicine.

I've been in runs on the last boss of LKHM where I'm the only Mystic in party.

Lachelith does the mechanic where I have to dodge the ring, get further from boss than anyone, and Corruption Ring the pull for immunity. Which means I can't HEAL at this time.

The Warrior and Ninja with no full HP (since they never dodge attacks) proceeds to try-hard shield phase anyways where they both ended up dying since they cannot wait 3 seconds for me to heal them so they can finally push the shield. I even had lots of red motes in the center for them to pick up as emergencies and they never picked up a single one. Since they had full behemoth gear, they feel entitled to call me a trash healer.

Sure... see if anybody can solo heal those kinds of ppl who takes every hit and then runs into the circle with barely any HP left...

^ This, in LKHM last boss I feel the same way about where she does the ring. I make sure to tell them to wait until she finishes trying to pull me so I can heal. I always get that one person who goes in and dies when I'm waiting for Lilith to finish pulling me. Then I get 3 others who wait and then proceed to dps.

Even if I do drop a bunch of motes on the ground for them to pick up.....to which no one ever does.

Nowadays, it's always about personal DPS. Being in the upper 10th percent on Moongourd gives people bragging rights. There are even hardcore guilds that only invite people from the top 10. So, many DPS and tanks try to go for the highest personal DPS possible. This is becoming the norm(or already has) and there isn't much you can do.

I also understand that solo healing LKHM while everyone takes damage is difficult. Feel free to tell them to be mindful of the situation but if they ignore you and keep taking damage recklessly, just do the best you can and if they die, they die. It is not your fault. Eventually one of the two things will happen 1. They will figure out that they need to dodge to live 2. You will somehow figure out how to still keep them alive.

And remember that gear =\= skill. I've seen some great players in Behemoth but I've seen some [filtered] players in Behemoth too. Many DPS classes nowadays require no brain. Truly skilled players can read the situation and know when to go all out and when not to.

  • Or just tell them to watch this video before playing the console version of TERA.

You forgot the third thing that will happen and the one is more common on IM.

    3. The healer gets kicked from party becuase the dps blame him for not doing his job.

That is the most common thing.
  • TBH i dont know how a healer can perform well with a controller? Show me someone with rmhm and HH title who is playing with a controller first O.o
