Are transfers going to be fixed?

It's been about a month now and nothing has been done i don't think people that want to transfer should have to be forced to name change just to transfer.

    They are being forced to name change because someone on that server has that name already. So your saying it would be fair to force the person on the server your transferring to should change their name because you are coming to their "home"?

    I think the issue is just that it used to be that it automatically made you name change after transferring. But now, it wants you to pay extra to name change first, but you can't easily know if the name you're changing to will be available on the destination server anyway. So it's a bit of a mess.

    My guess is that it has something to do with the name reservation event, and might either be fixed when the next patch happens or when the name reservation event is over (i.e. claim window expires).

    They said before that it was a bug that was being worked on, but there was no ETA on a fix. The name change was provided as a temporary workaround for people who really needed to transfer urgently.

    where in the OP's comment does it say anything about BUYING a name change for the transfer? why no where, quoted below for reference. do you know how to read?

    So tomorrow the name reservation event ends. Hopefully the name conflict bug is resolved with it. I've been waiting to move a character for a month. I split all my stuff between my two chars I was taking, so Im missing alot of important things on that char that cant be moved. It'd be bs to have to pay the name change, especially when I need the name to be available on two servers in the first place. I am fine with not keeping the original; someone else has that name on target server. But I would like to be able to move it nonetheless.

    Although the "Reservation" phase ends, it now enters the "hold" phase where people are able to use the name. So I fear that the bug may continue until either a) the hold phase is over, and/or b) the new class build, which may possibly have a fix.
