New player any help welcome

Hey all new to tera here.. im just looking for any tips and tricks really and general advice.. just finished downloading and of course the servers are down haha I prefer tank role and my aim is dungeons and pvp

For the starting dungeons they are pretty easy. End-game dungeons I recommend watching some videos on them if you're going to stick to tank. My tank at the moment is the Brawler since it's pretty easy to block attacks in PvE. PvP wise can't be of any help to you because I don't really PvP.

Get a Buddy-Up code before you hit lvl 9

What's a buddy up code and how do I get one ?

What's a Buddy Up code?
Basically it is meant as a mentor program. Both mentor and mentee receive benefits as the mentee levels up. Unfortunately, people only give out the code but do not mentor new players. However, the benefits are still enabled and using a BuddyUp code is still favorable.

Prerequisites
As a new player, you must enter the code before lvl 9. You can only use one code. You can use the code on only one character (deleting and making a new character doesn't work). If you're higher than lvl9, I recommend to make a new account

Once you enter the code once, you are done. New characters being made after cannot get the code benefits again? You technically only ever get to use this bonus once per account, not once per character?

Yea one per account, you can use one again if you go on a hiatus of 30 days and dont log in.
But if you are a new player its easier to just make a new account if you forgot to enter a buddy up.
