Because they don't know. Because they aren't 100% certain. There are literally zero other explanations for them watching the forums turn up the flame without acting - which is absolutely just sad, because we look across the pond where v55 is live, the event is up and they even have a rough timeframe for the HM dungeon release.
And while tapping our feet & twiddling our thumbs, waiting for our announcements, we get silly stuff like the maid costume sale. Amazing.

I'm embarrassed on their behalf, they're so unbelievably out of touch - take a look at Halrath's response in the "What would be some good rewards for upcoming events?" thread.

Not to mention saturday the 5th's calendar reward - it went from a diamond to a 7-day backpack costume to the current 30-day car mount.

TL;DR - EME doesn't understand their "own" game or its community

Edit; Also don't forget that Spacecats had to create an emergency anniversary thread because Tera's actual anniversary date was passing by with zero acknowledgement from the company, l0l.

They've been dealing with issues inflicted on them by some members of their player base, albeit previous members now. Perhaps they are still distracted by matters they feel more important than event details.

This, if true, is a terrible answer. I can't imagine a company that doesn't have this stuff planned out months in advance and a working timeline. If this is the case then it seems like what others have mentioned that they just do it on a whim and say things like oh [filtered] the 5yr anniversary is coming out.

Look at gameforge as an example their 1st teaser for the new dungeon and content was released on April 20th and they released little bits until their actual release on May 2nd. We could hope that we are getting the new content 1 week after like valkyrie but we have sat in the dark just wondering what's going on with no words but our hands are tied which is BS since they are the publisher and they would only tie their own hands. I could go on and on but EME has fallen from grace imho and it this type action exudes nothing but laziness since I can think of no other word.

But guys we did get the maid costume sale extended 2 days ...

As for communication, people asked 10 days announcement of Valk's release SO THEY TAKE OFF TO PLAY THE GAME... Anyhow, EME gave a sweet 2-3 days announcement, with mistype such has "92x" instead of "1x", because the "92" button on keyboard is right next to "1" it seems. So even the announcement wasn't topshape, it had unplanned things... A week after EU, so expect this to take longer.
Beside, they get server lag, so new patches always take a week or more to arrive to NA, so be patient guys, there is nothing to fix, must be ya'll personnal computer lagging and you ISP spiking only when playing Tera
