Reaper (don't have one though) is also competent at it. As is my Mystic. My Zerker.... not so much. ._. Those used to be good. What happened? It's a problem IMO when my healer is soloing bams more easily than my DPS. So I have to get stuff with her. But first I had to gear my mystic too so she could be allowed to do the stronger bams in order to gear my zerker q-q

Well... I do think you are partly right... but I think that isn't exactly all that's going on either. There's a lot of people in the game with too much gold right now, so feedstock is going for way beyond the normal "going rates". The Gold : EMP ratio is quite exaggerated. The price is that high not only because of supply, but because there are people willing to pay those prices to get ahead more quickly. It does mean that people without a "nest egg" are at a disadvantage. However, with the double vanguard going on right now, the rate of gold increase in the market is still accelerating. Plus, just today, market forces started speculating that the lower-cost awakening event would cause desire for feedstock to push even higher, rather than causing demand to decrease.

Eventually the (inflation-adjusted) price will cap and start dropping because supply of feedstock will only keep going up in time. The issue is how soon, and how much pressure EME needs to place to hasten it.

It doesnt change that before the patch people had it easier than us before. Now its all about setting limits since the biggest feedstock provider is VG. And you could only do it soo much until you cap out for a day
And because there is no gold sink in this game thats the problem. Maybe if they adjusted up the prices for feed, put them into NPC merchants at a much more reasonable price, It would encourage people to dump away tons of the gold into enchanting their gear, instead of just catering to elitists.
I think there are pros and cons to having everything being on a gold merchant, but in the end I think the need for a gold sink is indeed the more important issue and so it would probably be worth it at least for now.

That said, the fact that it was easier at the end of a previous gear cycle vs. the start of a new gear cycle isn't itself all that unusual in the MMORPG world. It's really about the way it's different and the impact on different demographics.

Ohh and unless your a brawler, gunner or the ninja class, good luck trying to kill these [filtered] BAMS that have high stun resistance rate, have sh*t ton of health and barely get kded. The whole IoD solo content has been a cancer since its release, i wish they would just get rid of it like how they got rid of their nexus.
Well... in a way it sort of reminds me of how BAMs were back in the early days before there were avatar weapons in the game. I guess the only difference is that they did a bit more damage and had maybe a bit less HP... but, anyway, I guess the issue is that people want something not too difficult to farm, and it's true that -- for the moment anyway -- it seems easier to farm the BAMs on the newer classes than at least some of the older ones.

That said, I don't think the IoD content is itself a big problem having as an option. Whether there's too much dependence on it could be debated, and the relative difficulty/time involvement between classes is worth considering.

IoD bams on my sorc are just very very bad.
I think it's just silly to get tokens in a round robin style when some classes can easily kill one in few seconds.

Back in the days of running TAR and CW, with 8 characters, 20 dailies a day I was bringing in ~24k T7 (4k T8) feedstock a week (I know because I was making bank selling it).

The rate of income is still about where it was then. The only difference is that there is currently high demand for it between returning players and new class, and that enchanting T9 equipment isn't as easy as T8 was.

People who spend the effort still have about as much progress in the same amount of time as before. It's only those who are looking for the quick and easy progression who are hurting while demand is high.

There is a massive difference between getting that much feedstock in 15 minutes per character over the time you have to spend per character this patch. IoD BAMs have more health now or something, so on lower geared characters those dailies take quite a while.

I'm totally fine with the way it is right now. I feel like we get enough reward for our effort atm, but if they shut off the event, the amount of effort it takes to get this much feedstock just isn't going to even out. Last patch, even without TAR we had decent ways of getting FS. A lot dropped in dungeons, you could dismantle fodder gear, we got a decent amount from vanguards, just running stuff gave you a lot. This patch is more or less the same, except we get next to none from dungeons (like 5 FS a run without double drop...really?), can't dismantle anything, and are relying solely on vanguards, which currently are only doubled due to a band-aid event.

I think it's even now, but it won't be on the 7th.
