Hello everyone,

I am a EU Tera player, I have been playing this game for the last 3 or 4 years, but at the moment in EU the servers and the game is almost dead.

I was wondering if it is worth to move to NA and handle with the lag because of as far as a I know, the servers in NA have got a healthy population.

Could you please confirm it and share with me your opinion / experience about the server's population here in NA?

Yes, I come from Killian, which is almost / totally dead. Thats cause I was wondering about NA servers, is it still fun and enjoyable the game here in NA?

One thing that has become clear is that most players on MT at least play in groups of people they know. When it comes to HH or even dungeons, the LFG is not as popular as it used to be and it's more about who you know now. The game has definitely been losing more people, particularly over the course of the last half of this year and it doesn't seem to be getting better any time soon. If you do choose to join NA, just note that it's important to join a good guild, make good connections, and that's really it.

Even then, the game will continue to lose people. Transferring regions won't fix the problems this game has had that made people leave in the first place.

we have same problem than eu, so dont expect saviors here, unfortunally what do you seek it is more a new mmorpg with full people

On European times there are still more Players then on EU during main time. Just try it out, its much better than EU !

I will try the pvp server MT with some EU friends, we will try to join any good guild, probably we are going to start with a premade

tank / healer / dps in case someone is into take us :P

Because in EU, not everyone is able to speak fluent english, so they made a French server, and a German server, dividing and splitting the community even more

but before they had 2 french server and 2 german server, lol why removed one for each to bring back them later ?

They also launched TERA on Steam as i remember right thats why they add new Servers

I've been playing "solo" for awhile now and the dungeon queues as a DPS is very slow, but tolerable. But queuing as a Tank is almost always instant. So, I'm not sure if that's a population issue or it's because Tanks aren't really that "player friendly" in this game.

As for LFGs, Global Chat, and Open World, I play in the MT server and sometimes, it feels like a ghost town, but it gets better around NA's peak time.

Overall, I would say for a 5+ years old MMORPG that already "died" a long time ago, it's not that bad. I don't know if you'll enjoy it with a higher ping, though.

But thanks to the power of guilds, friends, and discord(or whatever), any game can be extremely fun, so maybe you should start making friends in your server or join a fairly active guild that uses discord(or whatever), instead of jumping here in NA.

I am not trying to defend the EU region or GameForge but i think this needs some light because the EU region is thriving with players many times having almost 2 pages of LFG with players looking for groups at peak hours for the dedicated PvP or PvE events and the economy is not only balanced but also profitable for those who might want to craft or even sell their vanguard points because everything sells and it does sell at a good price because the demand is really high. Here are some screenshots that i took today with the history generated so far to show as an example:

There is also the fact that EU has Elite that can be traded much like NA but on EU there are actual rewards for having elite like strongbox keys which are extremely valuable on EU because of the events ( they sell at 4k each and a player gets x20 after using elite once ) and much more things like a daily box which contains guaranteed items along the other RNG based items plus 5% fee on broker making players to instant buy instead of having to look for negotiations and even more making elite to be virtually wanted by anyone ( which in return boosted the EMP sales which is not a bad thing for the publisher ).


And with all this shared i would love to see EME working a bit harder because i have noticed it is possible to have good shops with good economy and even good log in events but it takes work and it would be nice to have all that work done so we could have NA more lively and fun instead of being dead because the players are not motivated to engage with the game since there are so many areas that are outdated and therefore lacking since for example on NA the vanguard shop has no valuable items with players like me staying at 9k points and not spending the points because it does not even matter since crystals dropped to 350-400g and not even those do not sell while everything else from the shop is even lower and at the same time there are no dedicated PvP or PvE events to motivate players to actually want to participate and not even crafting is any good because there is no demand due to lack of population and lack of interest to improve the gear since there is almost nothing to do with it..

Also, please try to be constructive and do not flame because my intention is to share information and possible have future improvements taking examples from others because i play on NA from winter 2014 and i want to stay on NA since all my characters, gold and even friends are here.

p.s. the vanguard points are halved from quests on EU but the rewards are definitely valuable even like that
