Technically a new player. Need some help with Gamepad

I got try the game 4 years ago but had a junk PC, Now I am thinking of giving it another shot. I've tried using the game pad but for some reason the right analog stick for camera does not work it makes my Character zoom in at a weird angle and I can do nothing about it. Controller settings, Shortcut setting, nothing works.

I know it's coming out for Consoles next year and I plan on playing. But I would at least like to give it a shot on the PC with a game pad, if not I can dig the mouse and keyboard.

Are there any guides or fixes for this. I contacted Support but it has been a day and a half with no reply.

    What kind of gamepad are you using?

    Xbox One Bluetooth. I also have a 360 usb and a logitech. No dice on all of them

    When you press select/start on the controllers to change the controller setup have you tried switching the controller types at the very top and see if it fixes?

    Yes I have. The differnt types just switch the buttons icons A=X and so forth.
