Crafting worth it?

Hello so i am a returning player and was wondering if crafting can net me any gold profit or not?

I am thinking of going for the etching route and selling etchings but i am not sure if thats the most profitable.

    Etching is probably the most expensive route to take, because you first need to get the designs and get lucky for the good tier 4 (since everyone can get perm tier 3 from IoD now) etchings or the accessory etchings, and the mats are expensive/hard to get.

    I'd say any of the others, with maybe alchemy first (gems), would be more profitable, but I haven't tried to sell stuff from them myself, just going from what I heard.
