Poll: Vanguard Reward Changes
Starting February 1st the VG rewards will go back to the single rewards that we experienced over the New Year's holiday. Spacecats has stated that they will periodically do double or triple reward weekends. Please voice your opinion on this:

I am not a fan of taking away something that we have had for years, just so they can give it back to us as a "reward" or an event on weekends. I feel like that is a terrible decision. This makes farming VG credits take twice as long. This makes farming an Iron Dragon take 400 dungeons (!!!) This is not a reward to players, this is a penalty to players.
Quick math for a 439 Frostmetal +0 player who farms top tier BAMs every day for 30 days:
2x rewards (the normal standard we have had for 2+ years:)
- 72 tokens per day x 30 days = 2160 per month
1x rewards
- 36 tokens per day x 30 days = 1080 per month
If they do double rewards on weekends we get:
- 72 tokens per day x 12 days = 864 per month + 1080 = 1864 tokens, which is 296 less than we would have gotten previously
If they do 2x double weekends and 2x triple weekends we get:
- 72 tokens x 6 days = 432, 108 tokens x 6 days = 648 + 1080 = 2160 per month (the previous amount we would have gotten with no changes.)
This means that they have to do triple rewards at least 3 weekends a month to get the same rewards that the hypothetical play would have gotten, and that assumes that the hypothetical player can log in on weekends.
And that doesn't even count the fact that the only way to get entropic emblems now takes twice as long (and the entropic box doesn't even give enough emblems for 1 talent.) I understand that the CM feels like this gives more flexibility to do events. I personally feel like this is taking something away from us that we have always had, and then giving it back to us as a "reward." That is not flexibility, it is a slap in the face.
Assuming that same ilvl 439 player who does 3x top tier IoD has enough time every day to run 1 TRHM and 1 SC, they will take 200 days to farm an Iron dragon, unless they can be online during double/triple weekends.
Changing VG rewards hits everyone hard, but it hits new players the hardest. It now takes twice as long for a new player to farm tokens for glyphs. It now takes 400 dungeon runs to farm an Iron Dragon, which is the only in game source for the crit damage boost that does not require gold or EMP. Making single rewards is taking away something that we have had for over 2+ years. It is taking away normal gameplay and adding in arbitrary grinding.
It is the wrong decision.

For one who is already with a decent gear and a fair amount of gold and mats this wont hurt him a lot, but for those who are in their way to level 65 it is not fair to make things for them more grindy.
EME, you should think carefully how to implement new methods for players to get their resources to progress in the game, removing this I think is not a great idea and I am pretty sure that things to come will only be more apealing for those who already are almost at the peak of the gear progression system.
If you remove this double vanguard buff that we had for some years then at leadt make sure the events you will make to compensate this can be accesible for everyone on your active player base.
To be honest, if a bit mean, I think en masse just does not have any employees who actually play tera. As a result, they can only respond to things if hundreds of people complain about, because they have no clue how the smaller issues (this IS a small issue, since it just gives us less dragon scales and nocs) are going to impact people. Personally I think if they get the vanguard shop correct, it will be fine. That said, they've completely screwed the pooch on every other reward and shop change so I don't really have much hope. Maybe as a community we should come up with a list of fair vanguard shop rewards assuming we have 1x vanguards instead of 2x.
What would be nice is going back to permanent double vanguard rewards and sometimes doing bonus double item xp weekends, while I assume the reworking of the vanguard shop is a larger issue and would be put on the dev roadmap for a future patch.
I'm sure it's not EME's intent but the company's decisions are making NA TERA less attractive to play (for me at least).

Gameforge and other publishers most likely have x1 vanguard rewards but they make up for it because the vanguard shop is actually updated and it was "not forgotten to be updated for six months" while at the same time they have a ton of PvPvE events with rewards that motivate players to get involved and as such the vanguards overall are quite worth to do ( especially since they also have 100% keen mote which helps new players or healers big time ).
Better wait and see...
I even made it a point to say that the dragon scale changes would affect NEW PLAYERS the hardest.
Obviously, veteran players will likely have dragons for even most of their alts. So look at it another way: it takes a veteran player 3 runs of an HM dungeon to farm enough scales for 1 strong bravery potion. Most pick up LFG groups will take 25 minutes to clear an HM dungeon. The reward is not worth running the dungeon at all.
Secondly, another thing that will affect veteran players is the enchanting box rewards. Let's say you have been doing 16x low tier IoD BAMs on an alt every day. You used to get 224 golden talents. Now you will only get 112 golden talents. You now have to farm twice as long to make the same amount of gold talents.
It affects veteran players, not just new players. It just affects new players the most.
I might be wrong but the double/triple vanguard events that we will have after the vanguard rewards will be switched to x1 will not be enough to not update the vanguard shop and make the keen mote 100%.. because the double/triple vanguard events will happen every 14days? from which one event will be either double or triple each time while the double will cover up 3days worth of double vanguard rewards compared to the present while the triple event will cover up 6days worth of double rewards compared to the present which means that we will lose either 11days or 8days worth of vanguard rewards every 14days? And even if the events will happen every 7days which is highly unlikely then we will still lose 8days every 14days if double or 2days every 14days if triple?
I hope that i am wrong and this is not the case ..
I would much prefer IMPROVED vanguards and fewer OP 15min events...

I am actually worried about something else.
I went on EU a few days ago to check out the guardian missions and know what to expect so me and a friend were talking about it and we were a bit excited since indeed it can be quite repeating but at the very least we could join up and leave without having to wait for queue or spam the LFG while at the same time the rewards no longer had anything to do with outdated shops like vanguard and other silly events since the rewards were rather fixed as in giving a box with at guaranteed x2 rubies that usually were x3 while also having a chance to give sapphires/emeralds/diamonds ( the box usually had a 400g price or higher at the broker ).. and also points for even more enchanting materials or glyphs besides the current methamorpic or IOD system which was still a plus.
So it is a nice addition.

My friend dropped the F-Bomb... and made me worried.
What IF En Masse will nerf the rewards invoking all sort of NA reasons once again doing that thing to us ( you know what is inserted there )... since the rewards seem to be quite motivating for just about any class to want to get involved ( i am not sure about healers but the bam fights require excessive healing and healers might actually shine while the lancer do just fine in terms of dps ).
...
So what i hope is that En Masse will not nerf the rewards from the Guardian Missions while also going for x1 Vanguards and using the so called double/triple events ( which overall make us to lose so much gold compared to x2 vanguards ) as a reason to not update the vanguard shop because once again this will be foul play and it is no wonder why so many players are so upset considering that this happened so much in the past year.. But instead let the Guardian Missions as they are and if going for x1 Vanguards plus some events then at least update the shop and give 100% keen at IOD.
