Server choice?

Hello everyone, I just started Tera again and I wanted to start from a scratch, which means completely new account...Now I was wondering what server should I join? Which one has more playerbase? PvP Server excluded.

Excluding PVP server (so MT) that would be TR aka Tempest Reach, as far as I've seen people say here on chat.

Tempest Reach (TR) is the usual PvE answer.

Though please be aware that leveling is very rarely lively, even on the most populated servers. Dungeon queues are also cross-sever, so it shouldn't matter which server you pick for that part. You're still likely going to be waiting quite a bit in queues, unless you get lucky with hitting a wave of other people just hitting your level range. It's just the nature of the fast leveling process these days.

The Male Brawler release on the 13th should have a larger group of people going through the leveling process, and for once you should even have a slightly easier time with DPS queues, but the usual adage about waves going through dungeons still applies.

The leveling event for the male brawler has not yet been detailed, as far as I'm aware, beyond the following two things from the March event list:

    Vanguard Request (added 50% Player XP bonus) Tue 3/13/2018 04:00 AM - Tue 3/20/2018 04:00 AM :
Join us for a week of leveling mayhem surrounding the Counterpunch update and the introduction of the Male Brawler by leveling up a new character.

It remains to be seen how much of a draw this will actually turn out to be. So please don't set your expectations too high.
  • Honestly there isn't a difference in PvE and PvP servers, it's pretty much in name only. Open world PvP doesn't happen until level 65 so you won't be ganked. Only difference between PvE and PvP servers is that people do PvP content and duels more often.
  • Oh thank you for your response, and Indeed I made Priest Level 61 before asking this question on here in Ascension Valley and I did notice more people on Tempest Reach, Now I probably will regret even going to AV Y.Y
  • 61 isn't much if you didn't spend money, otherwise server transfers are a thing.
If you can handle the knowledge that your character is now alone, forgotten and forever sad.

I would say "Yay another friend!!" but then it occurred to me that I also have a Priest and in the server we are, I just got concurrence to my LFG applications...

Just kidding but yeah, AV is in quite bad shape. Still, depending on time zone, you may have varying results on each server, AV is a total random scatter place.
  • Also I'm playing from EU so I have to take in account that people during the daytime in here aren't online, for me server gets active around 1 am and so on for me, because in USA it's daytime when nightime is here xP
  • I made Priest back in 2016 when Valkyrie came out, got to 48 then took a break and started 4 days ago to continue where I left off, back then there was people, maybe it seemed there was a lot on Valley because Valkyrie just came out and everyone went to try it out, now it seems a lot more dead than it used to, I guess I'll have to transfer to Tempest
