To those priest and mystic who are crying during awakening: MAYBE you don't deserve to be awakened because you lack SKILL. MAYBE instead of awakening your class, you should do gg, pit or guardian to know how to dps or what your DPS SKILLS can do and not just your healing. MAYBE you don't pvp and USE EVERY SKILL YOU HAVE. UNLEASH, UNLOCK, AWAKEN your player skill first before awakening your class.

I won't say that i had it easy for my mystic and to be honest i died once. But i learned from my mistake face tanking it(the first class i did the quest). So i stayed in range and dps if it(blue dragon) does his stand still attack. Pit dps strategy with my priest.

lmao, are you seriously basing a healer player's skill on how well they do solo BAMs?
IoD, ghilieglade, pit, even guardians -- those are like entrees to the main course that is dungeons. Nobody wants to party a healer because they can kill a BAM well. Awakening quests should have varied by class to account for the fact that -- big shocker -- most healers chose to heal because they enjoy supporting a group rather than directly killing things themselves.

I don't even disagree that it's not necessarily hard as a healer, I just think it's silly to call a healer unskilled because they're not used to DPSing. Like, no [filtered]? Until recently it wasn't seriously expected of them.

And where the OP's post comes in, I agree that the community is pretty [filtered] bad lately but I bet if you'd put up an LFG or something, someone would have come to your rescue. There're a LOT of bored people on with nothing better to do, trust me I am one of them.

I enjoy healing while i am beating the face of a monster in.

That's totally viable now, so you have fun with that.

Three days ago however, a lancer using adrenaline rush and brooch would probably not want to party with you again if he ran out of mana while you were busy casting zenobia's vortex on the side of the boss.

You sure about that? Cause I kinda have a 1 second use of CR to give people mana 1500 mana every 10-15 seconds.

Obviously I can't say for certain, since I've never played with you specifically. But I have played with pug mystics like that, who tried to balance dpsing with keeping my mana up during a burst at the start. I'd burn through pots and still run out of mana, it was ridiculous. The recent adjustments to lancer mana, combined with mystic awakening, makes it a non issue today. But back then I'd get super annoyed when I was running out of mana constantly and the healer's over there attacking the boss.

They dont know how to use corruption ring efficiently then.

Don't tell me how easy and fun to kill mobs in fyrmount as it shows you either as incompetent liar or as kid who is a bit too much in game about heroes.
It would have sense to make awakened quest for different roles different.
P.s. You don't judge doctor skill by how fast he can dig the soil, tho he can be muscular and do it well optionaly.
    Use common sense pls.

How hard is it to throw a skill from away if you don't know how to avoid red aoe? Yes it will take you a while to kill it but you will manage to kill it without dying. Fam .. i don't want to fight or offend you. I just wan't to make a point about players skill, knowing their skills(character) is and optimizing it. Using your dps skill is part of playing your class. You have dps skills for a reason.

I never said it was difficult, I don't personally think healer dps is particularly engaging or challenging at all if we're being honest.

I just think it's incorrect to call someone a bad player because they don't excel in an area of their class that is usually done by others. This is coming from someone whose first character was a priest that hit 65 almost entirely from soloing BAMs. You have DPS skills for a reason, yes, but it is a reason that -- until now at least, in pve -- has been entirely optional. Can't blame people for not caring. If a zerk lacks experience tanking because nobody ever expects him to and other people usually do it better, does that make him a bad zerk?

I never mentioned or said "bad player" and don't make zerk as an example. Zerk are not intentionally meant to tank. Their tanking skill are not unlocked by leveling. Unless they want to joke around then they will be a just a joke. It is up to you if you want to make excuses.

    * i feel sorry for you

ever since tera came out with the new skills and classes and all that crap the community has become total [filtered] no one wants to help any one and others want to be jack asses just to find it fun honestly tera should do something about this bs i miss the old tera were ppl helped others and were nice not total [filtered] hats

As you can tell from many of the responses you got in this thread, the forums aren't much better. Good luck though.

The behavior you're complaining about isn't exclusive to this patch. This has been an ongoing issue with TERA for quite some time. This is actually the most anti-social MMO I have ever played. The most conversation you see in dungeons is the standard "tyfp" at the end, provided no significant mistakes have been made up to that point. Trying to reach out to people, either to offer advice or just to chat, is either met with silence or "who r u?" like you have to know someone to speak to them. Even people in the same guild don't speak to each other, unless they're part of the same clique. Long story short: Yes, the TERA "community" is toxic.

All the above having been said, the expectation here (at least from what I've observed) is that you should be able to solo the Awakening questions. Should people help out when possible? Sure. They're aren't required to, however, and I think you'll learn survivability and combat effectiveness better by taking these enemies on yourself. Also, you could have just posted this from your main, @manofjustice. The correlation is pretty obvious, at least to me.

It seems to me you haven't played Vindictus, where the only people talking in the hub locations are the gold sellers. Feel free to correct me if I'm wrong.

To your original point, the reality is that some people don't like playing with others. Sure, that goes against the core function of an MMO, but you can't force people to work together if they don't want to (we've all heard/seen/played with that player who would literally go to the side and AFK when s**t didn't go their way, either in this game or another). Several of us have tried; it seldom ends well.

As for reaching out, I don't do it because I don't want to do it - I'm just not that kind of player. Does that make me a poisonous person as such?

If you think TERA is anti-social, its obvious you have not played:
Black Desert, Vindictus, Fiesta, Dragon Nest, or Elsword... must I go on?
