[Guide] How to get the Raptor/Dino mount, Sparky and Watermelon pet, Juicy {Repost}

This guide was made several years ago by a player I never personally knew but he put a lot of effort and time into it. It was also a very descriptive and helped me immensely. The previous post was made on the old Tera forum, which is no longer accessible. This is the google cached version that I was able to pull up. Hope it continues to help others, as it helped me.

I found a lot of the guides to getting these two things a little lacking in explanations and I often got lost or had to look up where things are or how to get certain achievements. Didn’t like that. It should all be in one place. So here we go.

In order to get Juicy, the watermelon pet you just need the achievement Monumental Effort. In order to get Sparky, the dino mount you will need Well Travelled which you get for having the achievements Monumental Effort and Tourist Trap. This guide will tell you how to do all of these.

Step 1 - Tourist Trap:

Of the two achievements this is the easiest, especially if you have an elite membership account. In order to get this achievement you must get the achievements for visiting all of the towns that you can fly to. You will get the achievement for flying over or standing on the pegasus platform in all except two places.

First exception - Pora Elinu in Poporia: In order to gain the achievement for Pora Elinu you must actually leave the pegasus platform and go inside the capital to speak with a female elf in a pink dress named Shalane. She is located in the very center of the tree capital. Be careful if you are low level on your journey inside as there are several mobs that you might aggro along the way.

Second exception - Kanstria in Val Kaeli: In order to gain the achievement for Kanstria you need to walk off the pegasus platform and down into the town itself. Don’t worry though, there are no baddies up there if you are low level and afraid of dying.

Step 2 - Monumental Effort:

This one I find a little more stressful and difficult if you are low level and/or are not given the proper instruction. In order to gain this achievement you must visit six “puzzling monuments” located all around Arborea. They are not all near a town or in safe areas so be careful!

First Monument:

Location: Near the entrance to the Eldritch Academy

Closest town to port/fly to: Pora Elinu in Poporia

Directions: The Eldritch Academy is a world dungeon of sorts located in the north western corner of the Lake of Tears. Just follow the road west from Pora Elinu and you will end up right there. The stone is located on the right side of the entrance. Be careful of the enemies that will aggro you along the way.

Second Monument:

Location: In the center of The Arena of the Exalted

Closest town to port/fly to: Tulufan in Val Aureum

Directions: The Arena of the Exalted is located in the Colossal Ruins. If you head north west of Tulufan and go all the way to the very edge of the Colossal Ruins you will find the arena. In the center by the broken walls is one of the monuments. Be careful of the BAMs in this area.

Third Monument:

Location: In High Vale near Camp Sunlight

Closest town to port/fly to: Bastion in Veritas District

Directions: Head through Bastion and up north towards Camp Sunlight in Balder’s Refuge. Continue past the camp and to the broken brick roadway. Walk along the roadway until you see the stone on your right. If you get to the large stone tower that the road leads to, you have gone too far. If you stick to the roads and be careful, the monsters in this area should leave you alone.

Fourth Monument:

Location: Near the entrance to the Citadel of Torment

Closest town to port/fly to: Acarum in Westonia

Directions: The Citadel of Torment is another world dungeon of sorts like the Eldritch Academy located outside of Acarum. To reach it simply head east of Acarum and over the bridge on your right. Follow the road south and up the mountain until you see the stone. It is hard to miss. Don’t worry about mobs here. You should be fine.

Fifth Monument:

Location: Next to the teleportal for the Labyrinth of Terror

Closest town to port/fly to: Habere in Lorcada

Directions: To get to the instance the Labyrinth of Terror, head down the south road from Habere through the Plain of the Damned. Follow the road all the way past the camp Furnace Approach and across the Bridge of Grief until you reach the entrance to the instance. The monument should be on your right.

Sixth Monument:

Location: The north side of the second tier of the Temple of Sikander

Closest town to port/fly to: Dragonfall in Sylvanoth

Directions: To get to this one is a little tricky without directions if you don’t know this area so be sure to read this part. Head east from Dragonfall through Susurrus Woods and into the province of Amena Quatla. At the fork in the road near Crimson Hammer camp, take the one that heads south. The northern road has two guards in front of the bridge to the temple that will mot likely squash you if you are low level. When you reach the end of the road you will come to a bridge with laser type sentries that are set of a timer making it impossible to pass.

If you are like me, you will probably spend forever trying to figure out their timing and trying to beat them to cross safely. Don’t do that. Instead, simply jump down the rocks to the bottom of the ravine filled with giant carnivorous plants. Don’t worry about them too much though. They won’t bother you, if you don’t bother them. Cross safely to the other side where you will find some climbable vines to bring you to the temple on the other side of the bridge.

Once at the top make a beeline for Broken Bridge Camp to get the teleport there. If you are low level this place is a death sentence for the slow so it is best to try and get this camp port in case you die. From this camp you can clearly see the ramp up into the temple. Run up the ramp and onto the first tier. Be fast and don’t stop. Keep going up the second ramp until you reach the second tier and then veer left to try and skirt around the edge and all the way to the back where you will find the monument. By the time you reach it everything that you have aggroed should reset and you will be safe in this little corner.

And there you go! You should now have completed both Tourist Trap and Monumental Effort to gain Well Travelled! Enjoy your useless watermelon pet and your awesome new dino mount.
