I came here out of sheer boredom. Yes, I rank second at the moment but that doesn't make me a cheater. I haven't tried to legitimately beat the higher ranks at all since the season where the servers merged. This is because I've got real life stuff to deal with and I hardly log these days because I can't get a party to play with. So Tera isn't the same for me anymore and I am playing extremely casually.

That being said, it's absolutely possible to get below 30secs in the NEW version of pit as a priest. IMHO, 12 secs in the NEW version 'may' be a bit iffy for a priest and you could probably question the legitimacy of this.

I speak based on my own efforts and experimentation; having mained priest for 3 yrs. Honestly, there is no point in crying about your pit time. It's more useful to try figure out how we get the times we do.

Here are 'some' helpful and relatively simple questions to ask yourself - no, I will not spoon feed you... because where is the fun in that?:

    1) What's your ilvl for all gear?
I have +9 SC for all gear and entropy level jewelleries if you were curious. (No pleasure in getting heroic, sadly..)

    2) Are your rolls/stats optimised for pit?
I have a set optimised specifically for pit; yaknow like shift+Right on your gear? I think it's shift+Right lol... Can't blame me for forgetting!

    3) What brooch do you have?

    4) Got etchings?

    5) What crystals are you using? Better be some good dyads with awesome stats.

    6) Do you have any dragons?

    7) Are you using the best consumables available?

    8) Are you using an optimal rotation for pit?

    9) Are passive skills being activated at the right time? These are based on rng!!!

    10) External factors such as how good your ping is, how good your pc is, are your parents streaming tv shows (lol), is it raining and are you on lan cable or wifi?

If you can't confidently assess and scrutinise your own situation based on the above and you don't even try to better understand the potential factors causing your high runtime, try again and again and again before complaining. Nothing is meant to be easy and don't give up trying to improve. The score you want to beat is your own.

Your whole post does not really help with anything since you are only trying to make a fool out of myself pointing the basic stuff instead of actually being relevant and trying to guide the ignorant me when it comes about a score run at this dungeon. Anyway, i have talked with the priest that keeps getting first at guardians all the time and that priest actually took the time to point the small but important things that can make the difference which it seems that you managed to forget to outline properly and talk about how important they actually are instead of talking about crystals/consumables or even streaming tv shows ( i wonder how you left out the pizza deliveries and alien abductions ).

    So..

    1) The gear plays quite the important role when doing a score run for pit of petrax and especially for priest since +8SC Chest/Gloves/Boots adds +3% damage while the weapon itself adds more damage from +7 up to +9 and whoever tries so hard for the first place most likely has another mask ( which can work with the last line from the +9 weapon to add 4% cooldown more or less ) and at least one flying mount with 2.0 crit power bonus if not two mounts that can work out very well one after another depending when the procs happen plus a quatrefoil/marrow brooch which again can add even more damage compared to a normal brooch when doing a score run. Also, it is important to actually make a gear setup with rolls especially for this dungeon because for example the weapon has this roll where you do more damage to the monster that has you first on the aggro list and at the same time it also helps to have dps etchings on accessories. So, a priest that does not meet all these requirements will most likely fail to get the first place.

    2) There are skills like the Guardian Sanctuary from priest that gives a very high chance to resist to stun which is not 100% but it is very high and it might help with the score runs since it can resist the first stun from the boss but it is all based on RNG ( not as important as the gear though ).

    3) The connection helps this much because not only that a single spike can ruin the whole run but a low and stable ping overall can definitely help with a score run when doing a rotation with burst damage for a limited time.

    4) The boss behaviour can make a difference because it can do the stun right away or it can jump then do other mechanics and be quite silly either helping with the run or ruining it entirely.

    5) There are certain out of ordinary consumables that can give a boost for a short time such as Lein's Dark Root Beer/etc and might help with a score run where burst is needed.

Anyway, i think that you have nothing impressing to show considering that your record as in 34sec is pretty much normal for your setup and you should also notice that my disbelief was pointed at the 23sec record because it seemed out of the ordinary though i did learn eventually that a certain setup can make it happen and has nothing to do with cheating.

p.s. the 13sec kill posted with the video in this thread is definitely amazing

You are aware that pit of petrax is a competitive environment, right? Nobody is entitled to help you with your damage in PoP and there's zero incentive for it. You're extremely fortunate that the top ranking players on that board, whom you accused publicly and with no evidence of cheating, were nice enough to tell you anything at all; there's no reason for people to give competitive advice for pit, since they'd just be helping people who're actively trying to pass their rank and take the prize that they stand to win by staying on top.

Holy crap this thread makes me mad. First you (falsely) call out these people as cheaters with no evidence on a public forum. Then when those same players find out, instead of getting mad or just reporting your post, they try to help you out anyway. And instead of apologizing for slandering them publicly and risking another incompetent overreaction from eme in the form of a wrongful ban, you antagonize them some more for not helping YOU more, all so you (and any other illiterate players who had to be spoonfed information available in game in the skill toolkit) can potentially usurp their rank? Sod off, mate.
  • There was so much cheating until the 16th and i have seen so many 7sec kills or less at pit of petrax that i became paranoid about it but i was proven wrong since it seems that it is actually possible to get a 23sec or even 13sec clear on a legit priest though it requires so many things that it is best to look for another source to get a mask with more cooldown reduction ( I was naive to believe that i have a decent chance to get first rank at pit of petrax without proper preparation ).

Also, i am going to remove the screenshot and rename the thread if possible.

I am sorry and i was wrong.

Now I do hope those whom this apology goes to don't get into fire and fury mode (looking at one or more posters up there), and this thread can be moved on from and left in the past. Let this also be a lesson for others to check before firing their ammo at someone or something.

Misunderstandings are the stupidest reasons to start wars, after all. Don't fall for it, folks!
