Rewards for Tank Levelling Event
While I've played many RPGs in the last 20 years, I've always played solo RPGs or just the solo content of multiplayer RPGs. Tera (PS4) is my first experience with multiplayer online gaming, and I started playing in the beginning of October 2018.
Being a neophyte at MORPGs, I'm quite anxious about group play, primarily because I have no experience communicating in-game with other players. I also want to become skilled with the class I'm playing before joining a group, so that I make a good first impression. My plan is to become skilled with multiple classes by levelling them to 65 solo, determine my main class, and then begin group play, perhaps finding a guild.
When the Tank event began in November, I had an archer, ninja, sorceress, and lancer all close to Level 40 with only a month of gameplay (and I spent a crap-ton of time getting Halloween candy). I decided to embrace the full scope of the Tank event by creating a brawler as well, with the goal of getting both she and my lancer to L64 and get each of them the full spectrum of rewards.
Bottom line: I got my brawler to L64 (Yay!), but when I got my lancer to L62, at about 12:30 PM EST on November 23, I must've been past the deadline, because the Parcel Post reward didn't pop. Getting my lancer to L64 took only another several hours of gameplay. So close...and yet so far. (I went back and read the initial tank levelling event announcement and it did specify the event would end Friday, November 23 at 11:59 a.m. EST; I incorrectly assumed the event would end at the end of the day.)
I sent a Support Ticket to Enmasse asking for an exception to the deadline, but they said they don't offer that kind of service. Is there anyone else I can contact to plead my case and possibly get the L62 and L64 goodies for my lancer (maybe contact Cobaltdragon directly)?

No, the deadline for the event was posted from the very start. Unlike previous leveling events when they gave boxes you could open once you reached the required level, this one was done via parcel post. That being said, no rewards will be given after the event's end. All you can really do is make sure that you take note of start and end times for future events and plan accordingly. I'm sorry to hear about your situation, but unfortunately such is the case with limited time events.
That being said, if I understand your post correctly, you have not yet gotten a character to level 65. If that is the case, you will be pleasantly surprised with some of the quests that show up after you are level 65, then some more will pop up after your gear and item levels are built up a little. Some of these quests give some generous gear, feedstock, alkahest, etc. rewards. You may not be able to get everything you would have gotten from the tank level rewards (especially those special cosmetic items from the event), but at least you will get some useful things pretty quickly and easily. If two of your characters are level 64, then I am assuming you have already completed the Savage Reach, Spring Valley, and Ex Prima quest lines, and you have probably already reached Highwatch. If you have started the Arx Umbra quests, then I would STOP before getting to the "Have Fun Storming the Castle" one, because there is currently a glitch that will freeze your character (there are threads about it in these forums, so save that until after they fix the glitch). As soon as you get a character to level 65, if you have not bought yourself a flying mount, then check for a quest line called "Slip the Surly Bonds", where it will take you about 2 or 3 minutes to very easily get a free flying mount (still do it, even if you have bought a flying mount, but the one you bought will probably be better to use). Look for the quest line "For the Federation", where "Fresh Arms and Legs" will give you a bunch of rewards (I can't remember exactly what you get, but it was a lot of good stuff). That quest line also includes "Memory Lost", and that will take you to the solo dungeon "Echo Arcana", which you can do over and over again (max two entries per day, without using a reset scroll). Even if you see Echo Arcana ("Echoes of Aranea") pop up in your daily Vanguards, be sure to do the "Memory Lost" quest first, to get the Guile weapon, Guile body armor (weapon and armor are in smart boxes to match your class), feedstock, alkahest, and some other things from the quest itself. Within Echo Arcana, each time you do the solo dungeon you will get random Guile drops at the end, for the feet and hand armors, which may or may not be appropriate for your class, but it has never taken me more than two or three runs of that dungeon, to get the full armor set for my class (even when it used to drop a lower set of gear, but also now that it drops Guile). Once you have your Guile gear, I recommend enchanting the armor up to at least +9, and try to get the weapon to +12 for now, then look for the "Island of Dawn" quests, which will give you some nice rewards. After Island of Dawn is when I "think" the "Rookie's Challenge" quest becomes available, which will take you to the solo dungeons for Celestial Arena and the Ace Dungeons (Baracos' Trial and Akasha's Trial). If you see those solo dungeons pop up in your daily Vanguards, then I recommend doing the Rookie's Challenge quests first ("Champion's Challenge" and "Endless Asceticism"), because those reward you with some generous amounts of feedstock and alkahest, plus some other stuff that I do not remember for sure what the other rewards were. After all of those different quest line rewards, you will have a lot more materials, to make it easier to get your Guile gear up to all +12. Once you have gotten your gear level up, you will see more Vanguard daily reward challenges, many of which you can do daily, to farm for Underhold, Interhold, and Superhold tokens. Those tokens can be exchanged for even better gear, accessories, glyphs, and materials.
When I am farming for Interhold tokens, I "personally" think it is best to do daily Vanguards for Celestial Arena and Baracos' Trial, twice each, then I use a reset scroll to do them again. You can also do Akasha's Trial twice a day, but I personally find that one a little frustrating, just because I get knocked down so often in there, with some of my characters. The mid-tier BAMs on Island of Dawn are also good for Interhold tokens, but the solo dungeons are a little quicker and easier for me. However, if you want try to collect some Fashion Coupons, the BAMs on Island of Dawn probably give the best drop rates for those, compared to anywhere else in the game.
If none of your characters are level 65 yet, then I think you will be pleasantly surprised at how generous many of the quest rewards are, just after you get to level 65. I have also been a solo player for many years, so I think you will enjoy some of those solo dungeons, and the Island of Dawn BAMs. After you have gone through your first one or two characters, for all of the level 65 quests, you may end up looking forward to doing them with your other characters (I know I do). I have been playing Tera since around May or June, and I have one Brawler and Lancer who are level 64 (I stopped there for the tank events, but I will get them to 65 soon), and I have two other Lancers, two other Brawlers, two Ninjas, two Berserkers, a Gunner, and a Sorceress, all level 65.
Exortus:
I have to say that the gift box scenario employed by the Ninja event seems like a better one for players; I wonder if that scenario wasn't generating L65 Ninjas fast enough or something.
GuardianAngelGG:
1) Thanks for the detailed roadmap; I'm encouraged by your comment that the L65 content will supply generous amounts of most of the goodies offered during the Tank Levelling Event. I'm also excited that there is significantly more solo content, as it will give me a chance to practice with the full skillset of a class before tackling group content.
2) My Brawler reached L64 after "Pulling the Strings", which is 4 quests before "Have Fun Storming the Castle" in the Arx Umbra questline. My lancer, however, has completed the entire Arx Umbra questline, ending with "The Reckoning", in which you battle Dakuryon with Rhodos. Does this mean my lancer's out of the woods with respect to the glitch?
3) Sounds like I'll be obtaining the Ambush equipment before the Guile set; how far should I enchant the Ambush gear?
4) Your comment about the lack of communication in Tera is disturbing. When I first started Tera, I was so nervous about communication that I coerced two of my friends (who, unfortunately, are not interested in Tera) into troubleshooting the in-game voice-chat. I was pleasantly surprised at how seamless it was to use not only the Tera native voice-chat, but the PSN party chat system. Both worked flawlessly, and gave me hope that once I became familiar with various classes through solo play, I would enjoy grouping up for dungeons. I did participate in a ton of pick-up groups for the Halloween Event, and there was never any voice-chatting, but I just figured that was because the event was so straightforward. (I did notice, like you did, that everyone else's headsets were always turned off.) I have a hard time imagining how the high level dungeons can be effectively completed without voice-chat. I've noticed that, in their profiles, most guilds state they use voice-chat; does that mean most people join a guild when they reach L65?
Again, thank you for all comments
2) Yes, your Lancer is beyond the glitch. It normally happens when you try to cross the bridge to the castle. I don't know if they fixed it, if you just happened to get lucky through it, or if maybe it is just an Xbox glitch.
3) For the Ace Dungeons, Celestial Arena, and low to mid-tier BAMs on Island of Dawn, +9 armor and +12 weapon will be fine. You will definitely want to get to +12 before you take on any level 65 group dungeons. I recommend +9 to start with for the armor, only because there are often a large amount of enchanting "fails" getting from +9 to +12, so you may have to work on getting more materials for a while, before you can make it. At least getting all of your armor pieces to +9 first does not usually cost you a crazy amount of materials, so you can work on getting them up one piece at a time, one level at a time, if you keep getting "fails" and have to get more materials a little at a time. If you can get them all to +12, then go for it, but I definitely recommend getting them all to +9 first, so that at least they are all that level, before you risk burning through a lot of materials. I definitely recommend getting all pieces to +12, before trying to awaken the armor to get it to +15 (assuming you get the Ambush armor). Getting from +12 to +15 is a nightmare and will consume massive quantities of materials, before you eventually get there.
4) I have always played solo, until I recently started doing the level dungeons with groups, during the tank leveling events. I have now done only a couple of the 355 dungeons with groups, but there was no communication in there, either. I do not know if more people use headsets in the 417+ dungeons, or if it may be different on PS4. I know a lot of people do join guilds, but a lot of us do not. That is just a personal choice. If you are OK with being in a guild, then you can probably find a good one that is willing to help teach you about Tera dungeons.
@BDragosani - MASSIVE CORRECTION - I just now realized that I was talking about both the Ambush and the Guile armor, for the Echoes of Aranea. I actually just meant "Guile", but it was late and I was tired. You will get Guile from that solo dungeon, not Ambush. Sorry about that. I will go back to my post and edit it.
I believe the issue with the level boxes was that they could have been exploited.
3. The best end game gear in order is Deathwrack>Ambush>Misery>Guile>Slaughter. Misery and Ambush are close in terms of how good they are, but Misery is easier to get. +15 Ambush can also convert into Deathwrack at a later date.
4. From levels 1-64, communication is near non existent. With the new lv65 dungeons, they require communication and coordination unless you're running with your static group who has already established their strategy. A lot of the guilds at end game are using voice chat, but some guilds do let you join before level 65. You can also get stat boosts for joining a guild depending on the stats that guild has chosen to level up. The reason for no communication in pre 65 dungeons is because it is usually not needed. Those dungeons have no special mechanics and wiping is a rare case especially with the 99 gold revives.
Anytime! ^.^
