[TERA PC & Console] En Masse is closing, but TERA lives on! We will continue to support TERA PC (NA) and TERA Console until services are transferred. Our Service Moving Info page is now live here: https://bit.ly/tera_service_moving

Once again "Player Feedback" denied us things we can get.

Costume Dismantling
Added the ability to dismantle some of your old costume items into Terachic Boutique coins which will be exchangeable for exclusive costume items.
PLEASE NOTE: The Terachic Boutique itself is currently disabled. Due to player feedback we are not opening the shop at this time. We will open it soon.

Who are those people who dare to denied us things we can get in the game? I guess it may be fun for them to give feedback that may not even represent the player base at all but only a minority of the player base... again.

In the gameforge version of the patch notes it says you trade the tokens for chests that contain a random item that may not be usable by your character's race or gender, maybe some players thought that was stupid?

If you are going to dismantle several costumes just to get a chance for a diferent one its because you "didnt need those" anyway. Only people with tons of costumes from past events (the hoarders that may not even spent a cent in the game) are getting their way again.

They're "getting their way" only in the sense that the system needs to be reviewed and adjusted to make sure those super-over-supplied event cosmetics don't tilt the system.

The cosmetics you can use are already limited to begin with, so the feedback was before we turn it on and have to consider doing a rollback as EU did (though it was for both this and the pet issue they had), EME should take some time to cross-check everything and make sure there won't be any issues. At this point, better safe than sorry. It doesn't mean anyone was "denied things," they'll just have to wait until it's more tested.
  • This sounds like an issue to be fixed after fc's are reinstated, cause then people who have less reason to be concerned by the sudden influx of costumes if they can simply earn ones that are more than good enough :S

Haven't had a chance to login yet myself today, but people have been saying that fashion coupons and strongboxes are dropping again now, so I think it's fixed.
  • Feedback from WHO?
From the gold hoarders (aka Gold Sellers?)

No, actually. From people who saw the rollback in EU, on the heels of the rollback in our own region after a messed up economy, and suggested that maybe it's not worth taking that risk right now until it's tested more.

I agree with EME on this.

It's better to figure out alk the variables first rather than implement it and suddenly find 30k elin garment bags on the broker.

What would suck is if the generous past events caused the exchange rate to be massively skewed. While understandable, the system would be nigh-useless if it takes like 22 costumes just to get a single one back just for a one-time market control.

    Oh well then that's good!

    what

Ok, if its to avoid another roll back then I can wait.

    what

Keep in mind: until very recently, no other region in the world actually ever offered costume race changes. EU did it one time recently as part of a special event. In our region, EME does still offer this as a once/year service.

This system is part of the global game that all regions get, including most of the regions that have never had any way at all to do anything with cosmetics they no longer want. It wasn't really built with our own market's unique circumstances in mind.

(A lot of the other regions basically don't believe that costume swapping should be a thing at all, since people would otherwise just have to buy another race change or buy more costumes, so that'd be the first hurdle you'd need to clear.)

That doesn't mean it's not a bad system. My understanding is that our ability to have costumes swapped on NA was removed because it was being abused by players who would race change multiple times a month and ask for everything they had to be swapped on each occasion, taking up support's valuable time. That was also a bad system.
