Same, in my several years on Tera I have taught plenty of people- sometimes whether they wanted it or not. A few cases where I just sent the crystals and an explanation via parcel after they didn't listen to me in or after dungeon in chat (They did equip the crystals then at least). And of course plenty of people tell me I am rude.
Most memorable was me very politely telling someone I had met couple times now in Golden Labyrinth that he should try out some proper DPS crystals- he was reluctant but did it. After testing the damage he told me he thought I was just an [filtered] at first but the difference in damage was amazing and we got all buddybuddy afterwards.
Regardless of good teaching moments... majority of people will not listen to you, especially at lvl 65 and more often than not they will act hostile towards you. "Veterans" don't have any obligation to take this sort of treatment either.
Also, in case someone will try to point out that someone must've helped me at some point--- no. I inspected higher leveled people and read guides, for rotations mostly
