Hey guys tried brawler but just didn't find it fun. I have a gunner which is my fav DPS class so far love the mechanics. Any who, I want to make a tank and love the old school style of lancer from what I have seen .

Now my question is how are they at soloing dungeons if I wanted to?

Are they wanted in groups?

How are they in PvP especially if I roll one on the PvP server?

    From my point of view and experience, Lancers are right now in a decent spot, not as good as they were before Brawler came. Just as any class, if you mean the leveling dungeons, you will be fine as a lancer so long as you upgrade your avatar weapons. LAncer takes a bit more time than a normal dps due to its low damage.

    Are they wanted in groups? Yes, but not as much as before. Brawler took the main tank position of Lancer. Literally, the only thing Brawler is good at, is doing sheer amounts of damage, making the run faster, and that's the main reason why they are chosen more often over a Lancer.

    In order to match that damage, as a Lancer you have 2 skills that can compensate: Guardian Shout, and more recently the new Adrenaline Rush, which got turned into a party buff. Also, the changes to Hold the Line passive make Lancer damage and crit rate go really high, so its important that you know when to block, unlike face rolling like a brawler.

    How are they in PvP? Well, i wouldn't be able to answer you that question, as i just recently started to do some pvp again. But by what other people tell me, Lancer is kinda dead or very hard to play in 1v1. In group PvP like FWC and Gridiron, all you have to do pretty much is Giga Leash and let the dps at your back do the killing.

    ugh, lol Thank you for the info. I really hate playing brawler lol and wanted to do descent 1-1 and small group being on a pvp server oh well guess I will have to roll something else :)

    lancer is good in pvp. In pve, brawler is alot easier.

    the lancer can buff your party so they can do more dps, and they can protect that party with shields and endurance buffs to help the healers in their hard job. They have a lot of utility and, in high-end content a lancer has more value than a brawler for any party.

    PD: the lancer's debuff puts -12% endurance to bosses, the brawler only -8%.
