    I guess they finally gave us the option to turn it off, on some classes I had to just change the chain key to something else.

    There's also nothing wrong with using the chains for some abilities/situations. It's only really a bad thing if it's all you're doing.

    Yeah. Though one problem I found is that some chains only exist as inherent. Can't make them using the chain skills window at all. So if you want those specific chains, you have to keep the whole inherent chains package.

    For me my only skills that are "spacebar"ed is Retaliate and Brawler/Lancer's Counterattack skills, only because it doesn't make much sense to give them a special key.. After a while it will get you used to skill cooldowns. My chain key is not on spacebar either, but on Left Shift, allowing me to keep spacebar for jump mechanics if needed.

    And yes don't rely on spacebar. It doesn't improve your skill as a DPS at all.
