Gamer Mouse - Logitech G602
I am considering purchasing a Logtech G602 gamer mouse. In addition to the M1, M2, M3 and scroll, it has 8 fully programmable buttons.
I want to map one button for Jump, middle mouse for autorun and one for W. I think this will leave me with 6 buttons left. Is 6 enough to effectively play? Is there a key for ducking, sheathing weapons?
In Elder Scrolls Online I had it mapped like this and it worked well, would this work with Tera? --
Space [jump] (top front button)
E [interact with environment] (top back button)
Move Camera When Running (top - middle mouse button)
Weapon swap (mouse forward) (side - top front button)
F [interact with player] (side - bottom front button)
Auto Run (mouse back) (side - top middle button)
Up (side - bottom middle button)
Z [sheathe weapon] (side - top back button)
Alt [toggle mouse mode] (side - bottom back button)

F is the interact with everything button, so it can stay.
Cant sheath/unsheath weapons manual here and camera is controlled just by moving the mouse without pressing anything.
Weapon swapping isnt a thing either.
You can probably bind those keys to something like the chain buttons, brooches and a mount.
So i have 12 buttons with skills... and have few more skills and consumables on same buttons, but with ctrl...
exemple:
1- backstep
2-fieryscape
ctrl+1 - att buff
ctrl+2 - def buff
what class are u plannin to play?
IMO it's amazing. Recommended it to my friends and they love it too. Very durable, highly ergonomic, comfortable, and easy to use. The accompanying software allows you to reconfigure every button to your desire and record/create macros and other functions.
You may think at first that all the side buttons would be a pain or feel clumsy but they have a grooved design so that you always know where your thumb is resting and what key you are pressing. It's very nice and perfect for MMO gaming.
For example, the default blast skill on left click becomes burst fire when pressed together with shift. The G600 mouse has 3 primary clicks (left, right, and 1 on the ring finger). This is ideal for Tera's primary 3 skill shortcuts. I have bound each of these clicks + shift as my 3 willpower skills.
More like you will regret it when it breaks after only 6 months. Razer products are made of cheap components. They are notorious for low quality overpriced junk.
If you do that and use easy-to-reach keys around WASD on your keyboard, it's plenty, even with sorc or warrior.
