Coming back after two years (Lancer focused thread)

Returning to tera after few year break now and there is mostly one thing i only care about considering the classes and the game;

-How is my dear old friend Lancer class holding up?
-Are lancers still the "top" pure tanking class? (obviously there are other classes who can tank)
-How would you rate the lancer considering all the other classes? (PVP and PVE)
-Are lancer being overrun by the new classess in the tanking departement?

I dont really wanna sit in que for 50minutes as lancer if they arent that wanted in the game in general, sure in hell im playing a tanky heavy plate class again thats kinda my thing in MMO games but maybe other recommendations?

Lancer is in a very good position now after their recent changes. Their utility skills are too good too pass up and although their damage isn't like a brawler per say, they are very wanted in parties for their buffs. They are the "pure" OG tank class and you will have a blast with it I promise you. Brawlers used to be always wanted but now I would say people don't care if it's a brawler or lancer. I personally would prefer a lancer as a dps cause once I get that adrenaline rush buff, It is absolutely fun fun fun. Oh and always, tanks are always needed :waving: so que times are very short.

Pvp I cannot comment since I don't know how they stand after their recent backstep changes.

Tanks (and healers) are always in demand. Tanking is not the same as it was since aggro generation was changed and a new crystal for frontal crit with aggro crystals being merged into one. Lancer can now hold aggro while basically being semi-afk. They also deal high damage on their own (700k~2m) depending on composition, rolls/gear, boss fight and skill. Lancer will also be receiving even more buffs in the future, with Brawler potentially being nerfed even further, Warrior tanking will receive changes while Berserker tank still being ignored. So, Lancer tanking will probably be the dominant tank once again unless the Warrior changes push them over the edge.

Definetly playing lancer again if its still viable and good tanking class , Got lot of catching up to do considering these new crystals , skills and game in general!

Any quick tips i should know?
