sf vs conflate atm and imperator vs conflate weapon after vm8

Hello,

So I just finished my conflate weapon for reaper. What is better atm in pvp starfaal +15 weapon or conflate +12 weapon. (Got both but can still sell the conflate). And how will imperator +15 be compared to conflate +12 after vm8 patch.

    Right now +15 sf > +12 conflate weap (due to blacksmith's hammerstrike and extra roll)
    Next patch conflate > imperator

    someone told me that sf+15 is only better atm because it's slight better from the back.
    These are my rolls,

    SF+15 top: 9% asp, bottom: asp, cdr, flat dmg, crit power.
    conflate top: 9% asp, bottom: asp, cdr, pvp dmg.

    Which will be better in group pvp? I usually only do fw/gridiron

    At the moment Conflate < SF +15 < Imp +15.

    It will change after conflate gets buffed.

    Remember that imp and vm8 also gets dmg buffs.

    We did, and it was discovered that Conflate does about 10% more damage from the front, and equal damage from behind. So it's 4% attack speed vs. 10% greater front damage.

    In fact, it was YOUR skewed test in the beginning of that thread, that made many people falsely believe that Starfall was better. All because you did the test with a power etching on the Starfall weapon and none on the conflate, and were naked, which caused the power to have a significant impact.

    Granted, if you're a tank, then SF +15 is definitely better.

    Thankfully, the upcoming boost to Conflate will finally put this whole Starfall vs Conflate thing behind us!

    But then you will just argue about conflate vs vm7/vm8 xD

    I don't really care at this point, but I dont remember anyone coming to the consensus that conflate was better.

    No, I won't. Because the difference between those is much more clear, and there isn't a bunch of misinformation like there is with conflate vs starfall.

    And I guess you probably didn't finish reading the thread where the damage was properly tested, where the 10% damage difference was found.

    Guys relax, for now conflate isn't better. Post buffs later it will be better than Starfall and just under Vm7 to a point it's negligible.

    In short if you're a tank or dps then at least obtain the Vm belt and weapon if you're going to use conflate armour.

    I'm relaxed o,o. Unfortunately they are throwing another gear set in there with the retooled vm8. We will have to wait and see what kind of stats it has.

    Conflate definitely can't be beat when it comes to bang for your buck. But for BiS, we gotta wait for the stats on the retooled gear.

    Honestly I've got to look at it from a tanks perspective.

    As it stands a full set of conflate will benefit dps more because they're not missing a dmg percentage like the lancer brawler weapons. Like I said CF is good, but the vm weapons wil be a must have.

    Ya I can't rap my head around the reasoning for making the tank weapons weaker. Especially since the newest VM wep has always done the most damage and was even across the board for all classes.

    Just makes you realize that they really don't put enough thought into PvP :/
