FPS Issues

in New & Returning Player Help
So I just finished installing this game and got done with character creation. When I got in game I was having very bad FPS issues which doesnt make any sense. My computer isnt bad. I'm running a gtx 970 graphics card

    Your gpu has only a small impact on your fps in Tera. You'll have to check what your cpu is and its clock speed.

    Intel I7-3770 3.4ghz. Sorry, didn't know it was gpu intensive.

    Few things to do if you don't want to mess with ini files. First. Run in full screen. Second, go to video options and make sure Aerial and Lurid display are at 1 (they max a 2). These have been known to give fps issues for some odd reason. Also add your entire Tera folder into your anti virus exceptions list.

    The game is CPU intensive, but that doesn't mean it will run that much better with a stronger CPU. There's probably no commercially available CPU in the world capable of running this game at perfect settings and with perfect fps in a mildly crowded place like cities where people afk. If there is, I wanna see it. :)
