Masterwork Slaughter Gear

I just want to ask for some tips in turning Slaughter gear to Masterwork. I gave my weapon some tries and it seems rather hard/low chance or I was just unlucky. I have all the rolls that I want for my weapon so I used my spellbinds to lock them all up while trying to turn it to masterwork which burned by Spellbinds IX really fast and failed to masterwork it so I decided to come and post here in forums once again to ask for opinions from more experienced players.

How should I go with this? I mean, should I keep trying to turn them to masterwork while using spellbinds to lock the preferred rolls or should I just keep trying to masterwork them without using any spellbind just for the sake of turning it to masterwork then proceed to re-rolling each pieces with spellbinds after they are have been turned to masterwork? Which way would cost me less overall for the entire gear?

You only use spellbinds after it is masterworked. The amount of attempts to reroll for masterwork is completely random, although you could try using Blessed Enigmatic Scrolls which have a higher chance.

You will lose a LOT of spellbind if you use it before masterworking. As for masterwork itself, check the descriptions of the master enigmatic scrolls. The tiered ones (the ones that can be used in only one tier of gear, in case of Slaughter, it's tier 9) read something like "higher chance to masterwork" Use those in combination with blessed enigmatic scrolls for masterworking. THEN you use normal master enigmatic scrolls, the ones that are not tiered, to re-roll stats once the item is masterworked.

Once an item is MWed it will never return to normal, so don't worry about it and just keep re-rolling for lines. Here you can use spellbinds. Some people keep rolling without spellbinds until they get most rolls by random.
  • Thanks for the answers @Yamazuki and @Nopi . The the two of you has always been helpful in all the threads I've posted so far, lol. I can finally progress and leave my Dreadnaught behind as I've been holding back on enchanting since I can't seem to find a good source to farm spellbind besides doing Kuma Royale over and over which is boring and unappealing as hell and on top of it, the boxes you buy with the credits is RNG unlike the MWA boxes you can buy with VG credits. The enigmatic scrolls and spellbinds you get from weekly Vanguard bonus is way too few and far in between to rely on so I don't count on it.

Speaking of which, do you guys know any good source to farm spellbinds? Either Spellbinds IX, X or the non tiered one.

Other than the usual farm spots you mentioned, I think also the rewards shop may randomly pop some in a good day. Though I can't say there's a stable source of it that I know of. You may get tiered ones easier than non tiered these days. Not in game at the moment, but If I remember you can also combine tiered spellbinds to make higher tier ones, so if you have a lot of T8, see if shift+clicking on them triggers a combination prompt.

You can get tier 8 spellbinds and convert it tier 9 at a 6 to 1 ratio. Channelworks is an instance that can be done quickly, and even soloed that drops T8 spellbinds. Other than doing dungeons for t8 spellbinds your only option through pve means is just getting gold and buying the spellbinds off the broker. One way to save spellbinds is after it is masterworked, use normal Master Enigmatic Scrolls and re-roll until you get multiple desired rolls.

Yea it does but it's 6 tier 8 spell binds for 1 tier 9 spellbind, I don't know if it's worth it. Not that I'll have many alts to use tier 8 spellbinds anyway considering I only have 3 character slots and only 1 slot left free. I'll probably won't have more than 3 character since my 220ms-250ms limits my choices of what classes I can play and I don't feel like making another character of the same class because that will probably make me feel bored of the class a lot faster so I might just do it once I've set my 3rd and probably last character to +12 Dreadnaught which by then, I won't be needing any tier 8 spellbinds.

I've just made my entire gear masterwork using tier 9 scrolls and without using spellbinds then bought some non tiered scrolls to keep rolling until I get the most number of desired rolls. So far, I've settled with having each piece of the gear only missing 1 roll from my desired rolls to have the perfect set up. From this point is where I used spellbinds right?

Also, I save up a bunch of set pieces for gear enchanting. I've got my boots +12 with only fodders but my weapon, chest piece and gloves remained +10. Should I used MWA and T9 feedstocks from this point? Would it give me higher chance of getting them to +12? I have some Personal Extensive (400+) and Personal Rare (500+) Alkahest to use. Would you advise me to use them for this one or save them up and buy the regular MWA with my VG credits and use those instead?
  • YamazukiYamazuki ✭✭✭✭✭
Yes, that is when you would start using spellbinds.

As for enchanting, using MWA would have a higher chance than fodder. Although, Extensive and Rare are even better for enchanting from 9 to 12. I would use your Rare and Extensive before using MWA. It would save on feedstock and it means if you don't need the MWA you can save it for the future, or sell it if you want gold.

T8 spellbinds are not needed that much. The only gear needing them is DN, and unless you want a very efficient alt in DN, you won't be trying for perfect rolls on T8. And with the patch that will make T8 useless coming closer, T8 will be yet another deprecated tier.

Masterwork took me around 5-6 blessed scrolls but damn man making it +12 is real pain in the [filtered], so far i've spent 20k+ gold on it and around 1700-1800 t9 feedstocks and its still +10, just seems like it doesnt wanna go +12 xD
All this makes me wonder how much is even needed for +15 imperator gear..

Oh, im talking about the weapon only, not the entire set.
  • NopiNopi ✭✭✭✭✭
+15 Imperator can tale over 100 tries on a good day. Known from people who have done over 300 attempts and over a million gold on a piece of VM gear and it's still +12. RNG can sure be a btch. :3
  • Yeah can see that i just spent 400 t9 feedstocks to make it from +10 to +12 and i failed all of them , left me with little feedstocks so i tried to up it with just 4 instead 48, guess what it did went +11 XD
