Dungeon Queue choice?
So I'm returning after a bit of a break, like I've said before and a bit has changed. I thought I remembered being able to choose what we queue as (some had the option as tank or dps) but that seems to be gone now? Or am I just inserting a thought of something that never existed?

From what I saw, they can't queue as DPS?..
/s
as in in many speed runs u see lancer/brawler combos
brawlers with dps crystals
dps rolls on weapon
2m+ /s easy
For a class that does soo much damage, its odd why she didn't have a dual option like other tanks ingame.
Right? Why not let them have that option too? /: Hopefully with the upcoming stuff, that's added in. But, I highly doubt it.
Because Brawler would need a way to make their attacks pull less aggro. Even the standard auto attack, coming from any tank, is also loaded with extra aggro pull capabilities, specifically made to help the tank kep aggro against much higher dps from the other players. Note that both of the classes allowed to select a role also have stance switch skills. The stance switch allows even those basic attacks to change how much aggro they pull when hitting.
Those parties who use both brawler and lancer for runs and use Brawler as dps, do so properly because of coordination and training. With the current aggro formula favoring dps so much (but still not completely forgetting aggro), a proper dps brawler (and maybe even a mediocre one) would steal aggro more than once, even against decent tanks if a brawler was allowed to queue as dps as is. So at least for IMS, where not everyone knows everyone, and player skill levels are as RNG as any RNG in the game, this would be a tanking disaster.
That's only doable with a Lancer that is also doing extremely high damage (or an aggro setup). Otherwise, with an average group the Brawler would just keep taking aggro.
Ahhh, my bad! I'm still fairly new so I don't know too much about anything. I'm still learning a lot! >_ < Sorry!
No need to say sorry. We all learn something every day.
