This server merge was a terrible mistake

However, did any of your friends and guildmates mention it? What about global chat (cancer, I know, but they sometimes have good info)?
I've told my guild mates when I found out about the merge, and I've stalked that long thread because I wanted and needed information. Most of what I gathered, I passed to my friends and guild.
Sorry if I can't quote, mobile likes to mess around like that.
I have global muted cus its cancer. And Most of my guildmates are relatively new players. I was left in charge of Minx's guild after the bam event. So I had my hands full teaching em about the game. None of em spent much time on the forums either.
Its not that simple. If it were, I'd have no problem. I have a guild to take care of, we don't get to transfer our character slots, bank slots or bank inventory. How would you feel if your home no longer felt safe and you're only choices were to stay or leave behind all you've worked hard for? Look at things from other ppl's perspectives. There's no compromise in this. There's just ppl who get screwed and ppl who don't care!
Yeah, Right, and lose thousands of dollars because of restrictions on transfers.
It's better give up this game, just like that, the comunity manager doesn't care and half of the comunity either.
I left this game with such great disapointment.

I'm not sure if the character slots they give you can be transferred, but if they can, then you'll have 6 slots on AV. Or go find a copy of Tera and get founders to have 8 and then have 12 slots.
You keep saying to look at it from others perspectives and I already am. I'm just looking at it in a logical perspective.
If you and your guild are still staying on Fey Forest, feel free to add me as a friend. My IGN is Saerath, and I'm most active evenings EST. I usually run a few dungeons with people in my guild, but I don't mind taking time to help around either. If you switch to another server though, I wish you best of luck. C:
I'm just thinking a lot of you who are worried about owpvp don't have perspective at all.
Looking at it from your perspective, you seem awfully salty about something so drastic as a server merge, yet you barely bothered to go hunting for information about it. The server merge info and discussion has been pinned to the forums and discussed extensively in-game and in forums for WEEKS. Where were you when all of this was going on?
If your network of friends isn't enough to provide you up-to-date information on the game you're playing, you need to find some better friends, or utilize the forums. Resources exist everywhere.
Now, I haven't read this thread in its entirety because it sounds like you keep regurgitating the same complaints over and over. What exactly about a PVP65 server rubs you in the wrong way? Is it just because people can participate in OWPVP now and you're uncomfortable? The OWPVP at 65 has also been EXTENSIVELY DISCUSSED, and if you search through the forums a little, you'll find a ton of threads with great arguments about why OWPVP will NOT bother PVE-focused players.
TL;DR Please read the many many server merge discussion threads before complaining about it after it's happened.
Not everyone who plays the game spends much time, if any, on the forums. I was never informed of this discussion until today. On top of that, I'm looking out for my guild and my friends. You can look at it as your flippant self, favoring the side who like this merge. Or you can see that ppl who are physically unable to enjoy this change have been screwed over. We can't leave if we cant take our character slots, bank slots and bank inventory with us. We didn't choose for it to be moved to Fey Forest. The least they could do is give us the option to move it all to AV.
So the server merge is one of those changes that the terms of service well covers. Fair? Not for everyone of course. When has the world been fair anyway? The one good thing they did was to open up conversations with whoever of the playerbase was available and willing to comment. Something I hardly see many companies take their time to do. Other companies would just shove people into a merge without so much as a notice and no input. EME isn't perfect but they at least seem to try and talk to people.
One big reason I suppose the merge happened is the looming for-professionals-only 30 man raid. Sure, one would say. If it's so pro, I don't need to do it. (For the record I myself will not even attempt it) but the thing is, the 3 merged servers, none of them had enough pro players to even TRY the raid. LoT and VoT had little population because MT had everyone, and HW was more into casual end game, and the 30 man is anything BUT casual. So I assume BHS probably told EME that they needed to work out the population problems so a large mass of people (well, actually less than 60 players) would voice saying the raid simply cannot be even started in 3 of 6 servers (maybe 4 if CH is also lacking pro players), and that's kinda bad for press and PR.
So there you have it. Just as it happens in real life wars and governments, the well being of some have to be sacrificed for the well being of the overall population. Same reason why we don't see much male character love in these games. So my advice to you is to wind down a bit, take a break from the game if you have to, and decide in a more calmed state if you want to stay or leave the game. I said this in another thread. It has happened to me and I have had various reactions. I've permanently left some games, realizing that I don't need them, and kept playing others seeing that things weren't so bad after all. The decision is yours. But please take it calmly.
