Of course they would make adjustments sooner or later. It’s like how they nerfed Sorcerer’s Lighting Bolt damage by 15% because it was way too powerful at the time. They always do additional tweaks to classes after major class changes in case nobody has noticed this predictable pattern already. More adjustments are continuing down the road so just sit tight and wait folks.

  • Darn I wanted my Tb one shots
  • Yeah. But, if rapid fire does 30% of total dps as archer, it's too much. Also, archer dps should be about same as ninja and sorc. Current, archer dps in ktera is too op.
  • Yeah but if you look at the original revamp however the base damage was increased of rapid fire so even after this nerf it's still more powerful than it was pre-revamp according to Reddit. https://www.reddit.com/r/TeraOnline/comments/52jmqt/archer_revampbuff_and_post_nerf_question/ .

Also on the topic of PvP yeah sure thunderbolt won't one hit now but tbh we all saw this comming. Would have been fun to watch the look on people's face after you landed an explosive trap though XD and don't get me started on the end of the RoA combo.
  • Rapid Fire total damage with glyph 4291
Rapid Fire total damage with glyph after revamp 5871
Rapid Fire total damage after revamp nerf 4110

    If my math is correct.
  • R.i.P all the hope that i got for archer....
  • I read on Reddit someone asking about the revamp and post nerf, specifically with the Rapid fire. Answering him/she that Rapid fire still has more than before the revamp even they changed the glyph to 20%. Or if they calculations are wrong which I doubt since were made by Yosha the glyph of 20% more damage of rapid fire got to cost less glyph points.

I'm not disappointed at all with this nerf(Unless we get less damage with the rapid fire than before the revamp), We don't need any buff at all. I always wanted the dash. Also I'm no agree with the iframe with directions(personal opinion) Its better if you have to move the camera takes a bit more of know-how/Skill to iframe.
  • how can they nerf during a revamp. lmfao!
that's like offering to renovate your house but lowering the houses market price after.

This isn't particularly that big of a nerf for archers, it's just toned down so it's not too crazily high that the future class that gets revamped won't meet up to archer's revamp standards. The PvP balance was really needed and for the PvE side, it was for balancing.

Just because they got TB and RF nerfed doesn't mean archer became bad. It's not like that nerf deterred their damage THAT much in PvE. Do you know how much DPS output archers were able to put with the revamp? The Rapid fire was broken as the reset rate (and damage) was high enough for you to use as an absolute filler while only rotating your 3 R (rf,roa,ra) and TB off cd. And knowing how OP TB is before this nerf, you'd basically get your crits high using TB and having bloodlust effects from it but it's not like it TB won't hit as hard because it still does. Archers are still top DPS in KTERA fyi when they put this nerf and they do a lot more than ninja.

Another thing was that the revamp caused archer to be too OP in PvP. TB mostly one shots from behind (unless you're metal plate or full conflate), barely anyone survives ROA combo and RF does more damage it's an option to use it in your rotations.

So, from this nerf you still get from the revamp:
    • TB with 100% base increase minus bloodlust effect and PvP damage reduced significantly
    • Headlong Rush
    • Backcrit skill
    • Better backstep/breakaway
    • 25% base increase with triple crit chance (instead of double) for RA
    • 25% base increase for PA
    • 10% base increase for ROA
    • ~30% overall increase for RF and 10% more dmg increase for your glyph of power (instead of 10%)
    • faster Poison arrow
    • New and better arrow buff
    • Better Final Salvo (stronger and more useful) that does 40% more damage (1551 vs 1108) than the total of Final Salvo (no one barely uses 2nd-5th hit of FS)

Not much of a nerf and doesn't impact overall DPS for archer. So what's the crying about?
Rapid Fire total damage with glyph 4291
Rapid Fire total damage with glyph after revamp 5871
Rapid Fire total damage after revamp nerf 4110

    If my math is correct.

The base damage actually still the same as the revamp's it's the new OP glyph you get from the revamp (50%) that gets nerfed. So instead of 5871 (glyph with the 50% dmg increase) it's actually 4698.8 with the nerfed glyph. Which is still more than our current RF: 2861 vs 3914; With glyph: 3147.1 vs 4698.8.

Good to know about RF damage.
