Constant 520ms+ ping

its been happening since yesterday and it is still happening right now....yesterday my ping was 529ms and today it has gone up to 545ms. I checked my internet speed and stuff but everything was fine. No lags on Youtube, even my ping in League of Legends is only 33ms. I get the JSON parse error when i try to launch Tera, after trying a few times eventually i could log in but I would just disconnect whenever i get in combat. Besides, Im also experiencing delays on all of my skills including shortcut keys .__. Am I the only one? (I play in Tempest Reach server)

    SEA player? I played Tera every single day since steam and this is the 3rd time this 500ms ping happened. The first two last for a whole week so im guessing this one gonna be for a week too. Gonna start finding stuff to do for a week :expressionless:

    No one even cares about your ping when the entirety of the game isnt even working. -Pointing out the obvious.

    this happened to SEA player once in a while.... I dont think its EME or our ISP fault. Its somewhere in between. Anyway just send support ticket and wait. Thats all we can do anyway.

    Someone actually randomly sent me a traceroute related to this, and it looks like the problem is on the way into the US at a hop in Las Vegas. It suddenly jumps all the way to 500+ at that one hop. I'm not sure if everyone else is going through the same hop, but looks really likely.

    The best way to try to bypass it is to try a VPN, which might do the routing a different way. That being said, there's no guarantee that it'd be without lag.

    i tried some VPN but it doesnt work, i get this error:

    I've given up trying to play. Lowest ping i had was 500++ms, no, actually was 0ms, spiking up to few k ms every 1-2 seconds. Game crashing every 2 minutes at max (unless you don't move at all). Basically can't do anything in game other than login and stand still. Yup - SEA player here

    VPN won't work since basic Ping from SEA region to Chicago are around 250-300ms.

    Here basic ping test I did from Cyberjaya MY to Chicago US
    Comcast - average 557ms
    SilverIP - average 254ms
    Izulo - average 257ms

    BUT, I wonder if SEA player can get any lower than 250 ms.

    I'm on the east coast NA, and while my ping isn't ridiculous (it's double what it usually is sometimes, spiking from 40 to 80), I'm getting DCed from the server multiple times a day since Friday. No one else gets kicked, just me. And I know it's not my connection, because I'm sitting there talking to people in voice chat the entire time.

    I end up having to kill my client every time it happens because it won't even let me activate my mouse to click the "select server" button.
