if you play more than 8 hours each day, go for elite status, if you play only 2 hours each day, make 3 characters lvl 65 and equip guile +12 it and done.
"Only 2h" phew - Well, It's average 1h for me on workdays, sometimes I just log in for 2 min. Especially as I am playing that low amount hours, it's important for me to have the Elite benefits. Of course this depends on everyone's personal allowance and dimensions. As I'm spending ~$80 on my gym (which is not as much fun as Tera), the monthly Tera fee is not that much for me.

Hey guys I just want to ask of there is a big difference between those who play with elite and those who do not in terms of making gold. I have been playing with elite status for 1 month now and it just expired. I was wondering if it is worth it to renew or not. My goal so far is to just make a lot of gold in game. Is elite really a big help in making gold or can I just make as much gold without elite as those that play with elite? I find atlas ,everful nostrum, double vanguard credits and no listings on broker to be really convenient but I could do without them. I just want to make gold.

no really, before yes, but now is not matter since monsters stop to drop golds and items and than we cant dismantle anymore and even crafting is sucking, so if you want support tera buy emp :3

    lol
  • I think elite is worth it. I got it at 10 a month with subscription around new years 2 years ago I think and I've loved it. Totally worth. Plus saving 5 dollars helps

why you even pay for this game if you spend so little time in it. you cant get full advantages of elite status with this lack of playtime. or you pay just to support developers? *very confused*
When I was a student, I was a progression player in WoW classic. 8h-raids with DKP, 5-7 days a week, farming all day for consumables, hard training on one single class. When I went into employment, I never wanted to touch an MMO again. After years, I stumbled upon Tera on Youtube. The graphics, the action combat and the strong focus on cosmetics caught me and I tried Tera.

Tera is primarily built for casuals. We get always a free starting gear (actually Slaughter) and easy entry dungeons. I marked my personal limits in this game and priorities. So at this time, I will never have Starfall, Imperator or Ambush. The max I will get is one Guile (out of 16 characters, the rest in Dreadnaught/Slaughter). Accordingly, the instances I see are also limited. The rest of my time is for events and cosmetics.

I'm fine with this and in my opinion these are the strongest points of Tera. This also means to me that this little time I spend in Tera has to be maximum effective. Tera is my only hobby (the rest of my life is work, family, sports) and the cheapest hobby so far (e.g. pistol shooting). Tera is always available (e.g. Freeclimbing was quite an organizational problem) and you can pause it everytime (e.g. play 5 min before dinner). So, paying for something you like plus getting some nice advantages is what I see. Even with average 1h per on workdays.
