Tera is primarily built for casuals. We get always a free starting gear (actually Slaughter) and easy entry dungeons. I marked my personal limits in this game and priorities. So at this time, I will never have Starfall, Imperator or Ambush. The max I will get is one Guile (out of 16 characters, the rest in Dreadnaught/Slaughter). Accordingly, the instances I see are also limited. The rest of my time is for events and cosmetics.
I'm fine with this and in my opinion these are the strongest points of Tera. This also means to me that this little time I spend in Tera has to be maximum effective. Tera is my only hobby (the rest of my life is work, family, sports) and the cheapest hobby so far (e.g. pistol shooting). Tera is always available (e.g. Freeclimbing was quite an organizational problem) and you can pause it everytime (e.g. play 5 min before dinner). So, paying for something you like plus getting some nice advantages is what I see. Even with average 1h per on workdays.
