Memory issues ?

I have no idea why..... but tera keeps saying textures reduced due to lack of memory which may mean V ram or system or it will crazy and say lack of memory.... why is this weird? Welp I have 40 gigs of RAM and yes I use about half for ram disk and ram cache but still that's 20gigs free for gaming. I also and running a gtx 970 4gb. I even look at live stats and don't see these numbers go near max... especially system memory. So what is going on ? Why is it doing this ?

  • Go to your task manager, and check your memory usage on Tera. Tera uses 3gigs of max system memory because Tera client is 32bit. So there's nothing you can do. I don't think 64 bit will be released ever, people have been waiting for 4 years and nothing has been done.
  • Crappy.... one of the few times whare having 3300mhz raM would help
  • Maybe your system is 32 bit instead of 64?

I think, there is a way to change max RAM use.

No, there isn't. The developers have to code the game to utilize more of your hardware.

As for the memory issue, it mostly happens in crowded areas, especially when the client had been open for a little bit. For instance, if I leave my client up for a while, then walk around Highwatch in the crowded area, my client closes due to memory problems. This isn't the fault of my hardware due to the fact I have 16gb 2,5000mhz RAM.
