The problem is that Spacecats lately is a bit lazy to level up to lvl500 to become a prophet.
  • I thought this was NA, not EU.

    ??
  • EU has pings roughly ~150ms. All SEA players (incl. OP/Australia) have over 200ms ping.

I usually play at 270 and I'm okay with that but with this aids issue I get 400+ ping with spikes to like 5k aylmao
  • Then make a traceroute and tell us how your VPN trial went. A lot of SEA players sadly have to use a VPN, because there's no (english) SEA server. Solutions do not fall from the sky, you have to work yourself into the matter.

Btw, EU player here with 130ms. I can live with this.

Playing with VPN brings it back to like 300 yeah that's fine but with the constant spikes still there so...
  • Usually the purpose of the VPN is to prevent exactly these spikes (=lag). Try another VPN program?
  • I've tried VPN's and the difference was about 10ms, which simply isn't worth it. Playing from Perth, using iiNet, have not had drastic ping spikes from an external cause except for brief periods.

Yeah, the problem is with Telstra users sadly.
  • Yeah something changed in the last 20 hours or so , was at 270 when i went to bed , but ever since getting up its been over 400+ , Telstra here aswell

Yes, it's on and off, like the time span is usually a week or so, I've had decent ping for a week then now its back t o400, has been like this for the past month.

The only thing I can suggest is that maybe you're being affected by DNS filtering. Try changing your alternate DNS server to connect to 8.8.8.8 which is a GoogleDNS service.

EME said themselves that it was to do with the DDOS attacks on the 20th of Nov that is causing these issues.
