The Gender Lock On New Classes.

Hey Enmasse, This is something that has been bugging me for quite some time, As well as a few others I know. It's also one of the reasons I stopped playing Tera. Me and others really do NOT like that all the new classes are gender locked to female. Not everyone enjoys playing a female character. Now for some races and classes I understand, Like the Elin and Reaper. However, Doing it for every new class isn't very cool. The older classes where you can play a Male character get boring after awhile, and the new classes have advantages that the old ones don't. I get that some people like playing as a girl, but not everyone, if You like playing as a girl, then where is the harm in giving an option, so it's more enjoyable for everyone? I personally was excited when I first heard that a new class had been made called the Ninja, but was disappointed to find yet another gender locked class. So I request that Enmasse changes this, and makes male gender options available for all current classes and upcoming classes. ( Not the Reaper, I understand that Elin is a female only race and I am not complaining about it. ) Thanks for reading.

  • This game company can truly go [filtered] themselves I alone have given them over $5,000 USD over the last 4 years and all they have done is release female classes because they a money hungry all i ever wanted was the next class to be male but of course not it's castanic female I mean it's a mother [filtered] glaive wielding warrior and you give it tits Guan Yu styled human looks or badass Aman's would have been better I'm done with this game and I'm going to plaster every gaming site I find telling people to stay away from this pathetic excuse for an mmorpg it's not a [filtered] rpg if I can never play a [filtered] male class because you only ever release tits [filtered] YOU
  • Enmasse didnt make the game Blue Hole Studio did/ does, Enmasse just puts what Blue Hole studio tells them to in the american release. They actually cant vote on anything Blue Hole Studio does. So getting mad at Enmasse is kind of pointless. Its kind of like getting mad at the postman/ mail man because the IRS sent you a letter in mail saying they are going to take $7,000 out of your bank account.

Yes, But I'm sure Enmasse can discuss it with Blue Hole Studio. Honestly, I would be happy with just one new class that isn't not gender locked. Or even nerf some of the new classes, and if not, then a buff for the older classes.

They can discuss am im sure they are, because I think they really want to stay in business here in america, because it makes money. But I dont think Blue Hole cares what happens in America, because as long as Enmasse pays royalties to Blue Hold and the % they get from additional sales of EMP, they only care about the Korean version of the game. The US version of the game is kind of like a side effect not even a side project.

So they can ask Blue Hole, "hey please dont gender lock it", but they will probably say something like, "sorry we dont understand English, give money now" =P

you dont really get to eat the main course i guess, the NA version of the game kind of gets the leftovers/ scraps.

Enmasse doesnt get much say in the decision making process unless Blue Hole allows them to.

Blue Hole says, have people submit new clothing designs, Enmasse can only do it...so blaming Enmasse for something that I am pretty sure is like 90% to 95% beyond their control is kind of not right.

Blue Hole isnt a Democracy, in their relationship with Enmasse, it feels like a Monarchy with Blue Hole as the King.
  • Bluehole and EME are going back and forth with a new male class. They want to make it worth it and special. They are wanting to make one really they do, they can't decide what it should be. X3 How do I know this? Cause during one of their live streams this question was brought up, so they answered.

They can discuss things. However, it's not much different than being a child discussing things with your parents, when they say no, it means no. EME had discussed several things, with the last big issue being dragons and BHS pretty much forced their decision on EME.

All the best performing dps are older classes with only Ninja being good. Gunner is the lowest dps already with Reaper being mid tier. Lancer is the best tank and soon Warrior will be better than Brawler. Not sure what other nerfs you want at this point. If you're under performing as anything but Slayer or Gunner it has nothing to do with the class. Sorc is extremely strong now and people still do no damage with it, same for Archer and the same will be for Warrior. In fact, the Warrior revamp is a complete nerf for anyone that isn't a top tier Warrior because they lose the debuff.
  • I come back to read patch notes and changes ever few months, to see that they have fixed this gender locking garbage. and even now, over a year after I stopped playing the gender locking has only continued to get worse. Again, you will get nothing from me, not only with this game, but your entire company and any of your projects, til this is rectified. Merry Christmas.

Honestly I feel the same. If I had the money I would find a lawyer to get back the time and money I spent into this game.

Ever go to the grovery with your parents and you ask to buy cookies but they like, 'no'? yeah, that.

If you don't like it, then just don't play. complaining isn't going to fix the problem. if you really want change, go invest in BHS, rather than paying EME some gold to get Elite or costumes. what you paid are for those, not changes. that's not investing, that's just buying something in-game. you paid, and you got what was equivalent out of it, even if it was just RNG boxes. that too, you already knew the consequences and bought them anyways.

How would you go invest in BHS??

Buy male costumes. Make everyone else buy male costumes. Imagine male costumes sold more than female costumes. Imagine the amount of male characters exceed the female characters.

BHS is not making their development on a whim or because "[filtered] sells". They have to earn their money and can't bet on a Baraka ballett class. So they do the only reliable thing everyone of us would do: look at the profit numbers.
Imagine, their turnover is 85% from female costumes and 15% from males - would anyone of you in charge develop a male class? Nope, the comapny would fire you. Get the sales to 50:50 and it will change.
