Another player thinking that a group of people PvP-ing is killing PvP. The common sense you possess matches that of an eggplant. God bless you children.
Then i got put on a team against them and just imagined what the other team was thinking.....because i felt their pain.
Oh, you aren't willing to do that? You'd rather stick to the guild that's on top so you know you can take easy wins?
That's why PvP is dying. If you love PvP so much, why join the group with the best PvPers in the game? You'd have far more PvP if you joined another group and fought against Manifest.
I won against Manifest many times in uneq-FWC, even against their best 3 Reaper premade.
+ The best games i had was when it was my premades + Manlyfest + Solunar + Goof Fight and other ppl who know how to play the game. They dont make PvP bad at all, just stop with that lol
You guys talk like they abuse the game to win somehow?..they are just better geared and more skilled than you. Maybe you should just get on their level.
I dont like Mani at all honestly but you guys are hating on it for no reason.
Also; if Manifest was the real reason for PvP to be dead, it would be fine in other servers..which clearly isnt the case.
There isnt enough people or interest to make PvP "fair" like you guys want it.
In PvP, there's a winning side and a losing side. If more people from the winning side decided to join the losing side, there would be more PvP to be had. Instead, people flock to the winning side and then complain that no one wants to fight them.
In places where there is no people limit, there will always be a team/guild with more people. Thats just how it works, Tera is a zerg game.
And if it wasnt Mani it would be the second biggest guild.
Thats why i liked FWC lol its limited to 15 ppl on each team. So the team that plays better or has better players will win.
Well i play in a server where there is really no PvP, so i cant care less for guilds being bigger or smaller than others.
I used to routinely leave groups in open world PvP when they started winning too much, joining the losing side to help out. Now I don't bother with groups at all and just fight whoever seems to be winning. And I die, a lot. My k/d ratio is like 1/1000000, but I don't care.
Constantly stomping the other side is just plain boring. When you have a real challenge and actually stand a significant chance of losing, that's when the fun starts.
Which i doubt that will ever happen.
They're not killing pvp...they're just killing you all.
It's simply a detriment to competitive people, no idea where you pulled your stuff from but wasn't my words that's for sure. Tera is indeed an irrelevant game in terms of competitiveness and will stay so until BHS make a real attempt at esports (like GW2 and BnS have) which requires both equalized and class balance and with the release of the new class in KR this doesn't seem very likely.
However my point was more about mass PvP being completely irrelevant (in terms of competitiveness, again), which is an undeniable fact. It's always lovely how gear heroes always bring up skill to make an invalid point because they know how embarrassing the gear one is.
If you were a real competitive player you would definitely despise winning or being "competitive" with weaker gear than the enemy in something like Skyring (notice the quotes around "competitive"). Because it means the enemy is simply subpar and out of your league and not worth your time. Thinking otherwise just makes you a wannabe. Does that answer your question why nothing I said is an excuse or whatever else you think? There's simply no point to it until then.
Competitive means you fight people of equal SKILL and if there's any gear gap (or big enough class imbalance) you will lose guaranteed which turns it into not competitive. If you are satisfied fighting people of lower skill then you're a casual and not a competitive worth of a real pro league (maybe in future?). Competitive does not mean you have a chance of winning, that's a casual's way of thinking.
The problem with Tera is that people with equal skill are rare and that was my whole point why: they quit because of gear farming because it's a waste of time and boring. The end. I don't consider PvP when I fight someone with much lower skill so I can win in lower gear (or vice versa). That's not PvP, it's for casuals. (heck, ask a guy who has entered a pro league in his life and is an avid PvPer in every type of game, very likely he won't even make it to level cap in Tera and quit before then, just saying -- you need THOSE people to play the game if you want real PvP, not casuals)
You're right, except for the fact that this isn't what PvP is about. Only a small non-competitive part of it called mass PvP.
Please, Tera does not equal CU/GvG.
Never seen you in team 3s or skyring slam, you say you play 3s but you have no idea how to even play. Lmao, Iv been playing at a higher scene than you ever will, so god bless your insignificant mind.
You are literally arguing at this point just to argue. Lmao, you never play team 3s, you are making all the wrong excuses and attacking people who actually took the time to learn and get good at this game because you can never achieve that with your state of mind. Literally god bless you. Im wasting too many brain cells talking to a brick wall like you so enjoy your negative and incorrect outlook on this topic. Peace.
TERA is an online dress up game for your Elin at best.
PvP was alive even if GvG was a mess.
Problem isn't gear anymore or balance for that matter. It's a lack of knowledge / skill / incentive / willing to accept you will lose battles.
Sad thing is there's no honour in a game. You can win and peace out. I'll add more later to this discussion.
I know what your next cop-out will be, how all other Tera versions don't matter and blabla, but guess what if you looked at my first post on here I'm talking about every game in general, not even just Tera, you think other games are different if they have same flaws as Tera? (i.e gear farm for competitive arena). I've played way enough which is all I need to form this opinion on human nature.
What part of irrelevant did you not understand. You can't have something relevant when the game is so dead with so little people and yeah clearly you can't think of why they don't even play it or quit it. I'm sure they all just love GW2's combat so much more for instance, that's why GW2's arena is so lively. Can't be because of my reasons based on experience playing multiple games at top skill level. /sarcasm
And before you say how EU doesn't matter, ever thought why it's funny you see people on EU do vids on skyring team here and beating most average NA teams, yet never seen a single NA person on EU to even do decent? You can bury your head under the sand if that makes you sleep better at night, you've no experience of both versions (and RU) anyway, but I do. Sorry to say the skill level used to be vastly lower on this side of the ocean (~6 months ago, when I still played actively).
I don't think you can waste braincells btw. That implies you need to have them first, which is doubtful.
More importantly why should anyone listen to someone who's only ever experienced one region from one game and thinks he's a hotshot (lmao) to talk in the name of everyone else?
You know not everyone is married to this game like you (and I don't mean that by gear farming, I mean in playing competitively 1 game only). If they find it a waste of time because they can play something else that gives them instant competitive thrill, why would they play Tera? Enjoy your game full of casuals who click on skills, I guess that makes you feel good, top of noobs is still on top, if they queue and get stomped, you super pro.
