  • Ive tried the Google DNS , didnt do anything for me unfortunately. I have noticed , instead of connecting to tera through the zayo server , for some reason its routing it a japan ip address >

  • Can confirm the Australian route from Telstra is going through Japan, causing high latency. Most likely an ISP issue. Time to sit on the phone for an hour and get nowhere.

    Same problem here in NZ; I use Voyager, and had been sitting on a stable 187ms to 200ms for months.

    Now suddenly as of a couple of days ago it's a stable 288 - 304ms. This is a terrible ping to try and play at; experienced scenarios where I'm getting hit by things that haven't yet occurred onscreen/are well away from me and using melee attacks (15m +)

    Had intended to buy myself a little something something ingame for Christmas, but until this issue is resolved I doubt I will, nor will I be renewing my elite status further. Revelations Online is looking pretty good in the event this issue is not resolved.

    It's better to tracert to diag.enmasse.com because the patch server uses a CDN that has nodes all over the world, and so isn't representative of the in-game connection. Most likely you're being routed through Japan now, as the people above, and this is adding to your ping time.

  • Sad, my wife and I are in the same boat. Live in Australia, pay extra to Tel$tra for top speed because of home business (not that we expect any real difference), but logged this morning and game is unplayable. VPN makes no difference at all. The last couple of weeks we had 230-250 ping, but now it is bleh.
    As much as I love Japan, I would prefer to visit physically, not my computer being routed through there.

  • The best you can do is contact your ISP to see if they can alter the route (something they can do).

    How do you figure? Enmasse changed ISP this is FACT! Sea players not the all ones with high ping atm some US player up 30-100ms so your telling me its not Enmasses ISP its the players ISP World wide?...

    It is actually this.
    it's 50/50. All the different ISPs of the world connect to eachother differently
    Sea players might've gone up higher ping and some US yet other US and looks like most EU players went down 50ping.
    Personally it's great for me since I don't have to use a VPN anymore since I'm a US player.

    EME said themselves that it was to do with the DDOS attacks on the 20th of Nov that is causing these issues.

    There are huge outages during November as detailed in this post about player compensation. While these issues were significant and lasted hours (sometimes), they're unrelated to the issue you're describing.

    Update for me: Just got home to see that I couldn't log in. That was about 5 minutes ago, and now I'm at the character selection screen. Whatever you guys just did worked, at least for now. :P
