Which dungeons are safe to IM?

The dungeons that I know are easy to im would be kc, cw, dfnm.
I am a gunner in full +12 guile correct rolls, manorguest accessories, edgy innerwear, cleansing brooch (working on empowered)
I Want to be able to do LKNM, DFHM, VoK, and SSNM/SSHM. I have done DFHM 6 times and didn't seem to have much luck with im groups. did SSNM once and we wiped twice on the first boss and disbanded. Have not imed LKNM. Is it safe to im these dungeons? Do I just have [filtered] luck? I don't have anyone to queue with atm so I can't even do training runs for them to properly learn the mechanics ;-;

    You could try LFG. I've heard of IMS groups wiping even in DFNM/KC, so whether you can IMS something or not is hard to answer.
  • Normally, people don't make LFG for LKNM, SSNM, DFHM and VOK.. It's either IM or guild run.

    +12 slaughter is good enough for LKNM, SSNM, DFHM, VOK.

    If you get wiped and disbanded in mid tier dungeons, it's not gear level problem.

    If tank or solo heal is new in DFHM, then maybe the team will be wiped by first boss.

    Yes they do. SSNM, DFHM, and VoK has lfgs for the daily when it is there, and LKNM people lfg it for either gear (same for SSNM) or the mats. He can always join a pass run easily. As you say no one lfgs it I see 3 SSNM lfgs... He can also start an lfg to at least get a tank/healer as well and que the dps. 3rd one got full but here's 2 of them https://gyazo.com/581ed14fb79bb386ff1af00f98ca1529

  • we didn't have enough dps to break through the shield phase on the first boss in SSNM, that is why we wiped and disbanded.
  • It might sound kinda lame, but can you manage to clear Island of Dawn high tier easily? I think it's a good progression check for newbie and anyone new to certain class.
    Make sure you start avoiding damage and stop face tanking, you can't afford to let healer hard carry you. I do understand kc/cw/dhnm and any pre 65 dungeons is sorta walk in the park.
    Btw I think you're kinda unlucky, cause an experienced tank can actually hard carry the entire LKNM, DFHM, VoK, and SSNM.

    Last I tried to do a high tier bam vg daily It took me 2-5 minutes to do one clear and I almost died on a couple of them (it was the iron giants).


  • Another thing you can do is, making an archer alt. Archer and Sorc do great dps. +12 archer/ sorc can do easily 700k~ 1mil dps/s with solo heal in IM. New and AVG skilled +12 Gunner does about 350k~550k dps/s.

    +12 Gunner is a good class for learning dungeons. Since, she's easier to control for new and tough with heavy armor. But, the dps isn't really as good as archer/ sorc.

    +12 archer, Sorc and Brawler can carry others in SSNM, LKNM, VOK and DFHM. +12 archer and Sorc are strong enough to take care prima in solo heal DFHM. +12 Brawler are tough enough for vera and prima together same time.

    The other day, 3 of us joined IM LKNM for guild. 2 melee dps from another server were new. They did like 50k/s on boss. We didn't mind let them learn boss pattern. It took about 25 min though. No one blamed anyone.

    I don't think, there is many psycho who blame others in mid tier IM dungeon.

    -Ktera nerfed fast leveling. You may want to make new alt before, it patchs here. It's still easier to make lv 65 in 1~3 days.
  • I'm a Brawler tank and I IMS quite a lot (for fun). Do note however that whenever I use IMS, I will have a healer with me more often than not.

    Everything except RMHM can be IM'd with a good chance of clearing in my opinion. Sure you really can't expect quick clears and you get lots of trap parties, but definitely can be done. If you are getting lots of trap parties, you are either very unlucky or you might be the problem.

    You can solo carry KC and DFNM in Guile so it doesn't matter if the team is actual garbage.
  • I'd say all dungeons are safe and unsafe at the same time. I cleared LKHM IM run with no skilled ppl, zerker tank and 2 failed shield phases - then I queued SSN (nerfed) and wiped at 1st boss.

    There are some natural talents in IM who rarely die on their 2nd run, there are exp parties so confident that they 3-man queue IM because it's faster, there are skilled ppl who queue IM because it's more of a challenge.

    I'd say SSH and RM aren't very IM-friendly because of party-wiping DPS checks. In like 50% of these runs my party needed to wipe once, find player with lowest DPS, replace him and then proceed with clear. No hard feelings, just explain politely that it's better to drop 1 than disband and advise to check class guide/dungeon guide, most ppl understand that.

    It's probably a bit more troublesome for dps classes, because if healer keeps dying there's little you can do to carry him. I'm not sure, I do not solo queue much as DPS but I have to admit I did trap some runs back then.
