  • Because, easy money beats...no easy money, its the rule of tumb for pretty much everything these days. Uniqueness is so passé.

Even if they made what ever you consider content, it could take up to a year to fully develop it and it would take you less than a month to get bored of it. This has always been an issue with games, it's not realistically possible to produce content quick enough.

Then, what's the secret of WoW?

I think is lore and not gameplay, aplealing to the masses and not only one region.

    -Multiple Arenas for 2s 3s and 5s
    -Multiple BGs
-Old content is seldom every removed, down days people used to do drunken AQ 40 runs for fun
    -Story line and Lore driven
-Side Content like Fishing, Cooking Crafting ect
    -Not own by Koreans
-Even your Grandmother can play it on her 20 year old comp
-More open to community developement aka add ons
-They basically have a bigger budget and more interest

    Why no real update?

It is all becuz of Bliizard entertainment and Riot Games and etc dominate all Korean PC game market share in fact. 99% sure.

Most of Korean game company such as BHS, Nexon, NCsoft has stopped developing PC games due to the fact that western game actually dominate Korean PC game market share, with their games such as Overwatch and League of Legends and etc.

So most Korean game company now turned into mobile game devlopers that works for Android and iPhone.

Look at NCSoft, they released new mobile game called "Lineage 2 Revolution" just few days ago.
    https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.netmarble.lineageII&hl=ko

Look at Nexon, thry are working on many mobile games called HIT!, Master of Eternity (MOE) and etc.
    https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.nexon.moe&hl=ko

BHS? They released Mobile game called Devilian just few weeks ago, where Tera elin does actually exist.
    https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.gamevil.devilian.android.google.global.normal&hl=ko

Here it says publisher is GAMEVIL but It is just publisher for BHS, like EME i guess.

So why there is no more update is due to the fact that All Korean game company basically has lost all their interest on PC, but mobile.

So my expectation is that BHS will work on console game development like PS4 and mobile games for Android and iPhone only, but not PC.

league is not western lol, league is produced by riot which is chinese owned fully like 2 years ago and prior to that had a majority share stake in the company. also bhs has 2 new pc mmorpg titles in the works one is already slated for cbt in korea next year, project w, and they are still working on exa.

    Then I was right.

Tera is RIP the next year.
  • My friend is starting to convinced me to go play WoW. Though, I really like the combat part of Tera, everything else is more or less broken. The free to play system is terrible for developers and publishers. If there was at least subscription payment, they wouldn't suffer and focus more on content and not on boring costumes. There's nothing that Enmasse can do to help. I bet half of people at Enmasse are frustrated, unable to help and make game better.

The biggest problem of Tera as I said before is Tera's base is Korea, if it was NA, it would have been better. Also Tera community wants way too much stuff from a f2p game.

The problem with Korea being base is shown easily. They like panties too much and not thinking about anything. Imagine if the demand was based on NA Tera, we definitely could see way more stuff.

If one day I buy the whole thing of Tera, I make it great, too many ideas on my butch head B)

there is. 14.99 usd per month

    It's an option.
  • about the open world i agree its usless now , before it had purpose to travel explore get new achievements for reaching certain spots. or hunnting world bosses getting unique gear but sadly . the game developers think its not worth updateing. It would be amazing if we got new world bosses of level 70 that droped gear that can compete with current gear and new achievements and make them kinda hard to find.

Also, WoW remains pretty much the same, after 11 years, it still feels like the vanilla WoW, unlike other games that go through an extensive rework of the original version, stray from what caught players attention. WoW has remained pretty much true to its vanilla version, without adding too much stuff that may make players feel the game different, and also adding enough stuff to keep players coming for more. You need an Example? We will use TERA for this. The True Action Combat thing remains the same after 4 years, but the thing that changed and ultimately led to players wanting a vanilla server (at least here in NA) was the nerfing of the AI of the BAMS to make them soloable, when originally this monsters were not supposed to be soloable, but tag along with your friends and take on em, which is what brought players in. The constant addition of new classes that overshadow the original 7 classes is also annoying as [filtered], not to mention that all new additions were female only based on their "feedback".

Sorry but Vanilla WOW level of PVE/PVP is no longer exit since BC hit, it about gear>skill and dungeon/raid are easier compare to vanilla WOW.
Tera BAMS are soloable since 2012. Nerf on BAM were on health n damage. AI is same stupid AI.
What bought me in TERA? Elin = = action combat type of game is not new for me...
Real update require a good writer, try start writing n you know its not easy.
