LK specific stuff
Ok. I got my sorc full +12 Slaughter and Disc +12 Guile. Decided to venture myself into Lilith Keep Normal Mode. First I read some stuff about the "do's" and "don't do's", then I queued.
I died once in the first boss, none on the second, and once on the last one. Not too shabby. I was using a CCB the whole time, so not an issue if my char dies a few times to learn the mechanics by trial and error (even after reading about the dungeon).
Then, we had a ninja in the party, with no CCB, died a bunch of times. We told him to use a CCB (I even posted a link to what a CCB look like in the party chat).
The issue? At the end, after killing the last boss, some dude types "WTF sorc you did everything wrong, go read the guides before doing the dungeon".
Whats up with him? I can't actually learn a dungeon if I don't go. I assume my only flaw was not saying at first "first time here". Because that ninja was way noobier than me and the stressed dude didn't said anything to him...

Agreed. Good job.
Pyre can be nasty with all the flames and trickery. More than once I've seen that horse decide to target someone to lay his AoE circle, then face the middle and do "How annoying" and AoE the whole place. With Pyre lured to the edge, the safe pizza slice in the rear becomes impossible to get to. The genies can hurt too so I like to save my full power for them.
Arac Handle Bra...my gods that creepy crawlie's a [filtered]. The giant timed wax circle in Normal doesn't one-shot, as such, but sometimes you get it and the little AoE laydowns (tied to boss HP) in one "fun" combo pack. I try to get to the healer's angle, and 25-30m away from the big guy, as the count hits 100.
Lilith's "suspiciously" is probably her most tricky. You have to dodge the ring as it shrinks, then make sure as a sorc you're not the farthest. I like to run toward and "hug" her as the ring shrinks and she faces her healer prey, then Mana Boost and throw ALL the things down to kill that shield. The rest (like her little vacuum attacks and "rest...soon") are largely avoided with Warp Barrier, Backstep, timing, and care.
That is a flaw, and a big one. Always declare your first-ness, even after a guide read and especially when matching alone. Sometimes the guides are wrong or just not quite enough help and the party has a nice insight you just can't find in them, and sometimes the other IMers have a goal that you just won't help them meet until you know the place better.
My question is: what have I done sooooo very bad to make that other dude angry? The mechanics seem to be very player independant (unlike the old Manaya's Core, where we had to hit only red or only blue argons, or the party would most likely wipe).
I will read the LK guide again and notify the party the next time I queue.
And this is why I rarely venture myself beyond the minimal good gear at level cap.
Unfortunately the internet allows for the people who need (how do I put this gently) 7 kinds of Muhraks Hammer beating into their faces until he's reforged them inside and out. It's unfortunate but just brush it off. The fact you cleared and had a CCB on is good enough for me. Experience comes from doing the actual runs. Guides only show you things. They don't truly put you in the seat for you to cope with your own character.
The problems I usually come across is dps starting off a boss before I'm even ready to go tank it then they complain I let them die. Of course I do allow them to die. If they wanted to tank it so badly why play DPS. This goes for most of you dps out there. You'll start a fight before your tanks are ready. In which case you deserve to be laughed at and left as a corpse for the entirety of the fight.
My only other problem is people not applying their brains to the runs which let's face it. PvE is pretty straight forward.
Anyway don't get so down in the dumps over people being raging. Just go at a pace that works for you. When you're ready to amp things up go for it.
Some people are just mad always.
This is true. One thing I suggest is, Don't expect good player on IM because some of them play the game not for fun.
Take note: Some players might kick you when you say "I'm first time here". Especially on hard dungeons.
Yeah I know the feeling. I also have a priest at 65 and there was a time when I only played healer type. Got many "gj heals" type of comments at the end of the dungeon runs, like Sabex Armory or Mac Catacombs (back when those 2 dungeons were the top notch with the old gear). But I also read many displeased players with my bad healing - when the non-tank player rushes ahead and makes mobs spread before tank get aggro, or when the tank is bad, people should know not to blame the healer. After all, we're healing ourselves first, then the others. I'm aware of that situation.
But my question here in LK was mostly related to some unknown mechanic I may not be aware of, that could make other people so angry. I guess thats how they are, whatever the way I play...
Thanks everyone
I thought about that, but he only talked to me specifically at the end, and everyone was disbanding. He wasn't even in my server, or I would had sent him a whisper asking what have I done (or not done).
Otherwise the ninja would've been kicked out before u even do the second boss.
There's more than enough time to avoid them.
