Gathering Sun Essence in Fey Forest gives me Sun Essence.
However in certain places (cannot confirm this just yet, but did in Tuwangi Mire)
I am given Essence of Wind? I understand that you get more uncommon or rare materials, like God's Tear, Essential Mana, etc.

Despite this being on a different server, I think that the gathering of Essence of Wind is correct in Tuwangi Mire. However, the node naming is wrong, I believe so this is still in need of a fix (correct naming). In Fey Forest, you can gather 3 material types: ore, fiber and essence.

Tuwangi Mire:

Linmetal Ore (obtained from Linmetal Ore)
Sylva Fibers (obtained from Sylva Plant)
I was in Celestial Hills and the node for Essence of Wind looks the same as the Essence of Sun nodes.
I will attach a screenshot and hopefully this will get a proper fix. Given that Tuwangi Mire and Celestial Hills give Linmetal Ore, the nodes giving Wind Essence is correct in Tuwangi Mire, but the nodes are named Sun Essence.

I'm hoping someone with more internal knowledge on the game design could check this out. Since Krymetal Ore is starter material for crafting.

Plant Gathering:
Tier 1: Verdra Fibers
Tier 2: Sylva Fibers
Tier 3: Shetla Fibers
Tier 4: Toira Fibers
Tier 5: Luria Fibers
Tier 6: Pilka Fibers
Energy Harvesting:
Tier 1: Sun Essence
Tier 2: Essence of Wind
Tier 3: Star Essence
Tier 4: Essence of Ice
Tier 5: Lightning Essence
Tier 6: Ghoblu Essence
In Tuwangi Mire, in regards to mining and gathering are Sylva Plants and Linmetal Ores, so Tier 2. So before this bug report reaches BHS or is confirmed to be an ancient bug. Is it hereby correct that Tuwangi Mire should hold Tier 1 Sun Essence nodes or should it be Essence of Wind nodes, since gathering Sun Essence in Tuwangi Mire gives you Essence of Wind, hence my second post about maybe wrong naming?
The thing is in Tuwangi Mire, the plants and ores are Tier 2 material (Linmetal Ore, Sylva Plant), which is why I am hoping someone with more internal knowledge on the game's design and layout of nodes throughout that region can be confirmed, if the Essence Gathering should be Tier 1 or Tier 2. If Tier 2, the naming of nodes is wrong. If as you said an ancient bug and Essence Gathering, should be Tier 1, Sun Essence, then the item gathered needs to be corrected. @SingleBear hoping he sees this and shed some light into this and this bug report becomes a proper one.
