I like it here in Cali doe ; ^;
I did that in the past. You know what i got from EME? the issue was my ISP. I call the ISP. You know what they told me? There was nothing wrong and i should contact the server owners. But i already did that right? Nor EME or my current ISP were able to help me. I took the case in my own hands. Now i have to use Pingzapper, which i did not required before, to even be able to play. Worked really good for a few months until this whole issue of the servers started. I still lag in dungeons, and pretty much anywhere.
The problem is that they're both kind of right. Routing problems are the responsibility of the backbone providers, which are run neither by your ISP nor by EME or their hosting provider. They're third-parties. Even Netflix had such problems getting backbone providers to upgrade their capacity (because no one was willing to pay for it), that the ISPs basically forced them to host servers inside their own facilities, which isn't possible for something like an MMO.
Still, my point in saying this wasn't so that people would know who to call to complain to (your only choice is to complain to one of the two parties, because the backbone providers won't listen to you if you call them), but at least so that the actual source of the problem is more clear. Having more data points at least helps people understand if they're having the same problem or a different one.
Not constant lag either, it's just a spike that happens once here and there.
I know it's not my connection either since I'm typically in a Discord call and we be like "Whoa, did you guys just feel that spike?"
-suddenly 3 people dead-
Idm though since I play priest. Priests never die.
