Have to delete.. 4 of my characters?

I'm not sure if I'm doing something wrong, but is there a way I can change servers rather than delete? Or atleast sign on and move items/gold to other characters before deletion? To be frank, it seems kinda crazy a company would just demand their player base to delete characters without being able to sign on and move things around. Is there something I'm missing here?

    I'm also a returning player after 1+ years. Has anybody else had to make these difficult decisions without knowing what's on their character?

    So a couple of things, not sure what you mean by changing servers rather than deleting characters. Characters can be transferred to other servers, but that costs cash and I believe you need to have an open character slot on the server you want to transfer to.

    As for moving items and gold. As long as the characters are within the same server, you can always use the bank found in any town as that is shared between all of that account's characters in the server.

    As for having to delete characters, are you aware of the server mergers that happened earlier this year? Because of those mergers some people ended up with more than 16 chars on a server and cannot make more until they delete enough characters to go back under the 16 character limit.

    Hi, thanks for the response. I have 11 characters on 'Fey forest' it says I need to have 7, I cannot sign onto the server unless I have 7 so moving things around seems impossible right now(Unless I'm not understanding something). Right now it appears I have to delete 4 of my characters then I can sign on. however doing that obv means I lose all my items and gold on the other characters. Seems strange a company would force a players hand like this without having other options than spending 100$ on moving characters

    Hey, welcome back! Basically 3 servers got merged last september because of low population and Fey Forest was created, this is why you have more characters than character slots. Keep in mind that a level 40+ character cannot be deleted instantly but, when you click the delete button, it enters a deletion state that lasts 24 hours, during these 24 hours you can undo the deletion. So if you put 4 characters in deletion state you can log in on the others and either buy additional characters slots off the broker or retrieve your items, and then undo the deletion state.
