O.o wow..idk if i should laugh or cry, maybe a mix of both

So this is a Sabex Armory run, me, lancer & other dps lvl 60 and mystic 61, we start the dungeon, no auras or buff, i politely ask for them and get completely ignored, so im like 'Welp, seems its gonna be one of THOSE runs, fine'.

We clear the first few rooms and the first boss, everything good(almost, mystic was spending his life autoattacking but meh, guessed he had nothing better to do). But i notice something's weird when we get to second boss's room and people are still missing decent chunks of their hp, we get second boss done, a couple guys are almost dead and we were all just.. waiting to get fixed up, nothing happens...still nothing..nothing.

After a bit im like 'Yo, mystic, could u at least like.. do ur healer job and actually heal us plz?'.. no response, other guys start asking for heals...still nothing. After trying to communicate with him and getting nowhere, we give him an ultimatum, basically a 'Hey, either heal us or ur out', at that point FINALLY he decides to heal us and drops the bomb: 'I'm not healer, I'm support, learn the classes you noobs', ofc, after that one time heal he went back to his no heals policy and we simply got rid of him.

  • Had a ninja in Slaughter join a LFG for SSHM (leader forgot to inspect beforehand). After I pointed this fact out, and that they were not skilled in ANY dg, they ask:

"Is this your first charter? BC this is not my first charter."
    "I'm relaly good, don't worry."
"I do more dmg than +15 Ambush"

Normally if this was a troll I would laugh and kick them from party, but this player was 100% serious.

Serious as in, they believed what they said, or serious as in, they were that good?

I had one DFNM run where the lancer went crazy after a gunner initiated the fight first. After a lot of swearing and name-calling, he sat down in the middle of the arena and pulled out the old "you pull, you tank" card. :)

I used to do this. This was shortly after the new aggro rules and everyone was still getting used to them. In my defense, I told the party 3 times that if they pulled, they tanked. And what happened? The gunner pulled. Oh man, that priest was pissed.

    Good times. :pleased:

Oh, an addendum to my first post...

So, this was KDN and we had a newb brawler in the group. "Whatever, no big deal" I'm thinking, so long as she punches stuff and several times, we're gravy. Then she starts trying to run behind the boss.

So after the fight, I ask the brawler "You do know you're the tank, right?" Let's just say the response we got was less than inspiring. We cleared the dungeon, but that particular brawler certainly didn't do much to fight the stereotype against brawler players.

As my Archer is in Guile, I will occasionally pull aggro in the two star dungeons. I've learned to spread out my big attacks if a tank is having trouble holding aggro.

So, I'm in KC, and this tank is losing aggro to everybody, but mostly me. Every time the warrior scythes or I use TB or ROA or even RF we're getting aggro. Spreading out my attacks isn't helping.

Lancer tank, I figure they are new, probably in Idoneal. After chasing the first boss all over the map, to the point that we actually had to do the mechanics to avoid a wipe, I apologize for drawing aggro so often and lament the loss of eclipse potions. You know, just to let them now I am not TRYING to be a jark. It's just happening anyway.

    I get "wrong jewel" "blood".

What? Could he mean crystal? I check to make sure I'm not wearing an aggro crystal somehow. No. Whatever. We're at the second boss. I give up on not drawing aggro and just do whatever I can. I'm already dreading the final boss and expecting a party wipe, but all new tanks need to learn somewhere and I can be patient with the occasional difficult run. It's not like I know how to tank so I can't even give them advice, but I can be patient and take far more time with this than I had intended.

Over the course of the boss fight we continue to exchange short quips until I finally realize, with dawning horror, that the tank has inspected me and determined that my jewelry set is wrong for dps. That my three pieces of shadowvain and two corvette are, in his opinion, the reason I am drawing aggro. He believes i should be wearing blood jewelry because "u dps u blood" He was dead serious that the problem was my jewelry. He was emphatic and pointed to our ninja as a correct example.

By this time the second boss is dead, so I decided to take the quitter stigma and left the party. No way was I going through Thunderous Wrath with this person. Especially since at least one other party member then agreed with him.

"u dps u blood" I didn't even know where to begin to address that.

Nothing cause I don't PUG, being a Lancer main. To me PUGing is for either the desperate people or people that hate themselves. I would encourage people to LFG and do stuff on their own server instead of using the Instance Match which is a hive of bad players that will only make things worse.

Isn't LFG still PUG? My understanding is that anything not a static/guild group is PUG.

Just about around last week, a couple of guildies (warrior, mystic) and myself (lancer), we queued into LKHM during the double drop rate time; got an archer and zerk to join us. I normally don't queue stuff ever unless out of boredom or something. I think this was on a Monday and it was dead at the time so yeah.

So before the 1st boss start, we noticed the zerk had wrong crystal on weapon and we advised nicely to replace something with better type for more dps and why it would be better. Anyway that wasn't a big deal but just for knowledge to help the person for future. As the fight goes on both the archer and zerk kept getting hit by the horse and had to be healed by our mystic a lot, like literally no effort to dodge stuff.

I won't even get into how terrible the 2nd boss was. The placing of the red circles was so close to the boss that it made my job harder to keep boss in same spot. I like to keep 2nd boss in the same area whole fight so it's more uptime and cleanliness but daym it gets ugly when people don't know how to place them correctly.

At last boss both dps died a lot. So basically the warrior and myself as lancer we carried the dps at all 3 bosses and also broke the shields at lilith. When the fight ended, it was time to loot and I seen one thing coming. Both the dps who were floor warming, kept rolling on the powders. And not only that, the zerk kept winning the powders. We had asked to pass them since it's not fair to roll on something like that after we just carried them literally the whole dungeon. The person won about 3 of them before passing it on and realizing we carried. How terrible it really is; funny and sad at the same time that stuff like this always occurs. They were very fortunate to have nice people like us because most other parties would've kicked them after the 1st boss or really get in their heads the wrong way. I just wish new people who join like this and still learning, realize that certain drops are better for people who deserve it and most of them don't even know what those materials are for while they still roll on it.

Edit: And me personally this is the reason why I don't IMS. I'm typically a shy person and rather play with people I know but once in a while I don't mind IMS with a couple of people out of boredom once in a while. I don't know what to expect and have had my share of experiences in IMS in the past but after a while it comes to the realization that it's just better to run with guild/friends and LFG.

I IMS tanked RMNM last week on my lancer. It was me (lancer) a sorc, a mystic, a gunner, and an archer. Half our group spoke only Spanish. A bunch of them were first timers. We got to Rachelith; I told them the back mechanic and said I'd type "b" whenever a back slam came up but it didn't help. By 90% the archer was dead on the ground from a back slam. The gunner died from a spin shortly after. The mystic, god bless her, was killed by a spin after that. We were 80% and it was just me and the sorc. We'd already wiped 3 times because those three couldn't stay alive, and at that point I think we were both sick of it so we just duo'd Rachelith together. Must've spent nearly 30 minutes in there slowly and carefully chipping away at her HP while the gunner cheered us on in Spanish. The sorc didn't speak English either, but he knew the fight enough for us to do just fine despite the language barrier. At 3% she started screaming in caps SI SE PUEDE, VAMOOOOOOOOOOS and I almost died laughing.

Was easily one of the most rewarding RM runs I've ever done in my life tbh. I even made a screenshot of the aftermath. 8Shf6Y5.jpg

Definitely is rewarding as lancer to be in that type of situation. Hopefully they thanked in a nice way. And if they didn't then I'm sorry. I been in these types of situations in the past before and sometimes people don't even take the second to recognize or say thank you kinda make me sick to my stomach how hard some of us work to make things easy for people. This is probably why there is also lack of tanks in this game due to one of these reasons (anyway that is from a different thread). Hopefully they take it as a learning lesson to do better but that's how some players are in this game; they just think they can get carried into any dungeon without any research or improvement of their own class, etc.
